Our founder started this project after quitting his job. On a dare. In an internet forum. About pro wrestling video games.
Our web guy is a 38-year-old who has watched wrestling every Monday night for 20 years. He has a lifelong dream of being a referee.
Near-death experiences. Black mold. Death threats. Stolen code sold to us. Money. No money. Less than no money. Eviction notices. A crew less like the nWo and more like Spinal Tap. A dedicated fanbase that loves them anyway.
Welcome to Pro Wrestling X. Enjoy your stay.
Pro Wrestling X is a 3D wrestling game being developed for the PC platform. We love the fun of the Nintendo-64 classic WWF No Mercy; we love the customization of cult favorite Fire Pro Wrestling. We want to give gamers something they can tear apart and make their own, modify to their heart’s content.
In short, we want a game made by wrestling fans, for wrestling fans.
And for years, we’ve tried and failed and tried to build the foundation of a great pro wrestling video game. After a truth-is-stranger-than-fiction story of development, we’ve finally done it.
So what do we have? We have a humble-but-mighty game that can do wonderful things, things never done before in a wrestling game. It’s not great – yet – but we’re getting there.
What else do we have? We’ve made friends with smart people who really know what they are doing. Well-respected wrestlers. Gifted artists. Talented animators. We want to pay them to help us make the good thing we have, great. And with your support, we can do it.
