1) More Slots 2) New PWX Site!
1) More Slots ************** What a strange realization I came to the other the day when comparing the new Fire Pro Wrestling for XBLA with our little Pro Wrestling X: Uprising game. Our game will actually have more grapple move slots than a Fire Pro game?! Whats the world coming to! At any rate, it's nice to know we made the right decision when we gave players as many move slots as we could.
2) New PWX Site! ****************** Our new website is live! Eric did a great job on the site and I'm very happy with it. There is a nice History of PWX started on the site (the whole story is gonna big a lonnnnnng story) and you can see there is a focus now on building our support base via Facebook and Twitter. If you're nuts and you're way too curious about the history of PWX you can browse the archives of images and newsletters that goes all the way back to the beginning.
Check it out and get lost in almost nine years of making a wrestling game:

Thanks again, Eric!
In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.

1) The Slots 2) Name the Move 3) New Build
1) The Slots ************** I mentioned the number of move slots in PWX Uprising last week and for those of you who care about such things in wrestling games (don't we all?!) here's a breakdown of just the standing grapple moves for you. It's less than some big wrestling game and more than a lot of other ones:
5 weak front grapple move slots 4 strong front grapple move slots 1 special/finisher front grapple slot
3 weak back grapple move slots 2 strong back grapple move slots 1 special/finisher move slot
1 side lame move slot (cuz we only have one move animated for this slot)
So there you have it. Now I'm gonna level with you all. The number of move slots in this first game is strictly a function of how many animations we have. We could easily give every grapple position 16 or more slots but there aren't enough animations to make each wrestler in each weight class and style unique with that many moves per character. So as soon as we can afford an animator again (buy 209 copies of Uprising each!) we can open up the move slots with more content to fill them. Is good, yes?
2) Name the Move ****************** We're asking you guys to choose the name of Troops finisher, a Death Valley Driver of sorts. Please head on over to our Facebook page to vote and even suggest a better name than the ones we suggested (False Flag Driver, Florida Election, Patriot Act) if you prefer!

3) New Build ********** The next build of PWX Uprising is coming to me in a few days and I'm told to expect a few other things that weren't a part of the original design but probably considered standard in most wrestling games these days anyway:
Now, don't get excited about the blood. We don't plan on having any in Uprising due to the terms of a financing agreement I made way back in the day. All we're doing here is giving you the option to turn blood off in the unlikely and unfortunate event that an unscrupulous modder should happen to create and import the required art assets necessary to make blood visual in the game. Should such a dastardly thing happen we want you to know that your virgin eyes are safe with us and you can turn such a bad bad thing off. Or on. But we didn't do it.
