Welcome to Wrestling Gamers United Newsletter #453

    1) 4 Corners
    2) PWX TNA Connection
    3) Hulk. Please. Stop. Update.

    1) 4 Corners
    *******************
Hey guys! It was another good productive week of development. We took apart our old systems for handling grappling in the turnbuckle and it works much better now. It worked ok before but there were sometimes glitches when the opponent hit the turnbuckle that would mess with his position in the next animation. And once the position is off in one place the problem just compounds. So it's fixed. At the moment we're cleaning up the ground attacks (strikes and submissions) and it's going faster than expected. Once that's done we're moving onto cleaning up the weapon system which should (knock on wood) take very little time as it's already working pretty smoothly. Speaking of turnbuckles, though, someone asked if PWX Uprising would have two active corners for whipping opponents like Fire Pro or four. All four corners of the ring in PWX Uprising are equally interactive and you can whip your opponent into any corner. No worries.

    2) PWX TNA Connection
    **********************
Did you see Hogan putting over that new TNA World Title belt on Impact this week? I'm very happy to share with you the news that the belt was none other than Jesse Justice to Jeff Hardy's specs. The same Jesse Justice that recently did the killer 2D character art work for PWX Uprising. Congrats, Jesse! The belt was manufactured by topropebelts.com which should give Jesse a raise and hire him more often.

    3) Hulk. Please. Stop
    ****************
In an update to last week's posted video showing Hulk Hogan rapping and flashing his wiener it has been uncovered that the footage was censored unnecessarily. Hulk never exposed himself. But was I the only one who thought his rapping was the most disturbing part in the first place?!

In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
    Thank you for your support,

Note about the comment regarding Jesse's belt designs: the average rate for just the DESIGN aspect of beltmaking is in the range of $50-$75 (USD) per design. And to even justify charging the higher end of that rate range, he'd have to be well-known, well-respected, AND rather prolific in his design commissions.
That description would fit Parks-Millican-Mann belts, only they (along with Joe Marshall, ChampionCraft, AllStar Belts, most of TRB's designs, and Nickelo Championship Belts--where I was able to obtain the pricing figures--among others) have the design charge built into the belt production price.

I'd gather that Jesse, along with myself, are among the few who deal exclusively in the design aspect of beltmaking. If I recall, from my previous conversation with Mike Nicolau (aka Papi, the guy behind Nickelo Championship Belts), Randy from TRB pays a flat rate of $50 per accepted design to designers not on his main staff (Mike was one before he left), and while his staff designers get paid (I don't know how much or at what rate), they do not get credited by name, but simply as part of the TRB designer team as a whole.
This may have changed since I'd heard this, but I'm not exactly sure how yet.

On a related note, was Jesse the one who designed Shannon Moore's custom DILLIGAF belt from TRB?

Wow, I had no idea belt designers for such major companies were paid so little. You'd think they'd at least get a percentage of belts over $1000. I don't think Jesse designed Moore's belt but I could be wrong.

How have you been doing with belt designs? Have been able to sell any designs to any belt manufacturers? I really like your designs and hope we get to see them on T.V. one day soon, too!
