    1) Chicken Wing Dreams
    *******************
We've finalized the moves and look good while weeding out the broken moves and the ones that look like ass. Help me make a decision, though. We've got a standing chicken wing headlock partially animated. The set up, loop, and release animations are done and working fine but the move does not have a tap out animation so it can't properly be used as a submission to end a match. So, what would you do?

1- Include the move and just have it damage the opponent like a non-submission move
2- Remove it from the game entirely
3- Let the move end a match in submission even if the animation doesn't tap out

Which would you pick? Thanks for helping!

    2) 99 cent Wrestling!
    ****************
If you're a fan of almost any type of wrestling game you HAVE to pick up Action Arcade Wrestling available now on Xbox Live in the indie game category for only 80 MSP. It really is a fun old school wrestling game which is exactly what the developer, Dave Horn, aimed for. Anyone who wants to criticize the game's graphics, depth, or mechanics is completely missing the point. Dave had a clear vision and nailed it. He's clearly learned a lot since those early Shockwave games he did. And talk about a blessing in disguise, Dave was originally pissed that the peer review system delayed his game's release but then it ended up being posted on Xbox Live exactly one week before the release of Halo Reach when arguably the largest audience possible was checking the service every day for Halo updates. Score! Hats off to Dave Horn for giving the wrestling game community something as retro cool as this. I hope Nintendo sees it and considers a Pro Wrestling reboot.

    3) Nice Shirt!
    **************
If you were surfing for new videos about Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 Community Superstar Event you might have feasted your eyes on probably the single coolest red t-shirt in existence. Thanks, Mike! Sorry folks, they're all sold out.

    4) New Fire Pro! New Fire Pro!
    ***************************
Just announced at the Tokyo Game Show is the new Fire Pro Wrestling game coming to Xbox Live Arcade in 2011. Is it coming to North America? Don't know yet. Will it play like classic Fire Pro? Don't know yet. Is it being developed by the actual Fire Pro team or is it a Fire Pro game in name only? Don't know yet. All we know is that it's a 3D game that will let you use Xbox Avatars as wrestlers. Hmmmmm ok I'm willing to give it a shot. Even if it turns out to be the equivalent of AKI making the Def Jam games at least Spike is still in the wrestling game business which can only (fingers crossed) lead to some form of new fun for the rest of us.

And about the FP-XBLA game: I'll believe it when it actually comes out.

About AAW: I had Homebrew Wrestling, but it couldn't get past the character select. Also I'd totally buy AAW if I had X-Box Live.
Dave (Horn), I wanna design your belts for AAW, dude.

Also to Dave Wish: just make that chicken-wing headlock a rest hold. :)

Is this chickenwing headlock different to the cross-face move associated with Bob Backlund? If so, I would second fullMETAL and suggest that it is included as a resthold.

If not, I would urge that it is included as a full submission, even in absence of all the requisite animations. It would be a shame if a move historically associated with ending matches was unable to end a match. As compensation, perhaps a suitable audio file could be used to give the impression of a voiced submission. (Indeed, not all submissions occur through the loser making a bodily gesture.)

Another option: let people decide where they put the move in their moveset and whether or not it acts as a submission or rest hold?
