Welcome to Wrestling Gamers United Newsletter #439

    Hey guys!

I'm on the road this week so it will be a short newsletter. I'm in Vancouver again and BAH GAWD KING I miss this place. It's just for a few days until I finish up some old studio business here and then I'm back to Alberta again.

So, a quick progress report for y'all.

    * We stripped Ogg Vorbis support from Uprising. It was unreliable and causing audio glitches. Things like sounds not being triggered every instance and sample errors. We don't have a huge amount of audio data anyway so compression isn't too critical. But I'll want to have a compression solution working by the time we add tons of entrance music.

    * Jesse Justice just sent me a progress sketch of Troop for the character select menu. Holy god he nailed the prefect expression for him. Can't wait to show you.

    * Five animations have been removed from the recent build until they can be completely redone. Most of them, sadly, are apron attacks and reversals.

    * Ground submission tap out animations have been added into the build.

    * Deryl Morley's voice audio sounds GREAT in game. I hope we can get him to do more. I marked when I saw the Boston Crab tapout in-game for the first time and heard "SUBMIT!"

*I'm going to see Scotty Mac wrestle for ECCW tonight in Vancouver. Say hi if you see me. I'll be the old fart with the cane. Gotta love Canadian surgery wait lists but at least it's all free!

    * Congrats to our friend Craig who popped the question and she said yes!

So long for now from gray and wet Vancouver where a one bedroom condo will cost you about twenty times what your parents paid for their 2000 sq. foot home with the yard and garage. Used needles on the sidewalk are included.

In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
    Thank you for your support,
