1) Bad Buzz ************* Got a bit of bad news yesterday. You guys won't notice anything on your end when playing Uprising but it's just something we'll need to fix after Uprising and before creating more content. Nerd alert! Essentially there is a problem with the way our meshes are weighted to the skeleton that will force us to render more things on the CPU than we would like to. Ideally we want the GPU to handle as much as possible but that won't be the case for Uprising. It just means we have to fix it before adding things like animated crowds, battle royales, etc. or older PC's will really start choking. It's a easy fix, but not one we're going to worry about right now. Shipping Uprising can be done without fixing the issue even though we badly want to fix it asap.
2) It's Not My Fault ******************** I talked to our old programmer, Bill, today and he's doing well. You might remember he had to step away from PWX last year to care for his health. Anyway, I wanted to keep him informed with how Uprising was shaping up and he was glad to hear that some of his theories for why certain glitches and bugs existed turned out to be right on the money. He took a lot of flack for some of the bugs we we're experiencing before he left and I think he was happy to hear that they were ultimately not his fault at all. I only wish I listened to him earlier and didn't dismiss his concerns quite so easily. Bill, if you're reading this...you were right :P
3) Brad is Rad **************** Special thanks to PWX supporter, Brad, who hooked me up this week with tons of old Noah and FMW videos and an original mint condition copy of Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special! SFPWS has one of the coolest story mode endings I've ever seen. He was clearing out his collection to make room for his new baby (congrats!) and said he wanted the collection to go to a good home. I'll take very good care of it, Brad, count on it! Thanks for trusting me with it. Now if anyone else out there is looking for unload their video collections for any reason you know who to call. My awesome wife has set me up with a wicked retro room man cave that would be the perfect library for any unwanted wrestling videos.
4) Change your Tune *************** My tastes have regressed somewhat in recent years and my fondness for retro game styling has really blown up. I'm seriously thinking I want to change the Uprising music to N64 or even NES style midi music. Why not, eh? What do you think? Dig digitty dog.
In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.

I for one am a supporter of sequenced music, but am understandably wary since MIDI music only sounds as good as the drivers used to play it, and digital sequences (MOD, IT, etc.) can get rather large (space-wise) and would basically be better served just being fully-rendered audio tracks like the original OGG/MP3 support plan.
