    1) Back for More
    *************
Even though we've been able to salvage our original character art and animations so that we can actually ship a game with them the solution was less than ideal. Good enough to finish the first game but I wanted to redo the character model and animations for the next release after Uprising. No small task. But our lead programmer had a hunch last week that we could possibly continue using our original model and animation rig but he wasn't totally sure. So I went on the hunt for a 3D character artist with experience in this finicky area. As luck would have it, one of our original crew members that helped us out way back in the early prototype days now had a bunch of published console and arcade games under her belt. She also happens to now be teaching the 3D character rigging and animation course for a University in California. Score! So after taking a good look at our character rig and immediately pointing out issues she could fix I offered her her consulting job back. With her, Jesse Justice, and our original programmer back on board it's funny how the people who helped us start this project are back to help us finish it.

    2) Hand of Doom

Speaking of Jesse Justice, enjoy a peek at another piece of art he contributed to Uprising. It will be on our Facebook page tonight. The first look at his Uprising art last week was met with universally positive response and I am so happy we went in this direction. Jesse is awesome and I'm a genius.

    3) Lucha Game trailer
    ****************
I love to watch Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling. I have no idea what they're saying or what the hell is going on with story lines but it's fun as hell to watch. And the new trailer for the upcoming Lucha Libre game from Konami has me pumped up for the game. Of course, you could probably edit together a trailer for TNA Impact that looks just as cool so buyer beware still at this point:

Speaking of Lucha, if you live in Canada you might want to subscribe to the cable network called The Fight Network. They broadcast CMLL Lucha Libre events every week (lately anyway) with overdubbed English announcing. It's like $1.99/month and they also show Ring of Honor and old AWA stuff as well. They recently did a one hour special on the early career of The Undertaker and showed tons of footage of him wrestling under his old gimmicks that I'd never seen before. Great stuff.

    4) NINJAS!
    ***************
Yes! Thank you to everyone who read last week's newsletter and checked out the iPhone game by a former PWX crew member. Thanks to people like you the game shot up the charts and was featured in the iTunes "What's Hot" chart. Congrats to Dan and his team! It's nice to see good things come to good people. If you haven't checked it out yet, why not? Ninjas, people, NINJAS!!

    5) Fathers Day
    ************
Beat this. For Fathers Day this year my wife and daughter fixed up a retro gaming room for me in the basement complete with all my old game consoles hooked back up and a nice comfy couch. I don't know what I'm gonna do first, go for the T.V. title in Revenge or the Hardcore title in No Mercy. Or maybe Bruiser Brody needs to smack Misawa around for a while, or maybe Starman needs a good beating, but it's been a while since Dr. Guildo saw some action, too. Fatherhood is awesome.

In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.

    Thank you for your support,
