Welcome to Wrestling Gamers United Newsletter #425
1) Frame Rate Survives 2) Lufisto Fine 3) Souled Out
1) Frame Rate Survives ************************ This last week we kept our fingers crossed as we added more things to the current Uprising build. How much would the frame rate drop? To our great surprise it didn't drop much at all. Still running at well over 200 fps. Of course, we haven't turned on all of the detail on the characters so we expect a healthy frame rate drop once all of the shadows and lighting effects are running full tilt. Still, we're way ahead of where we thought we'd be with the level and animated characters running. We'll have to wait and see what happens to the frame rate after we add the exploding cars and flaming streamers.
2) Lufisto Fine ***************** I was horrified to hear that indie wrestling star, Lufisto, suffered a stroke after a recent wrestling performance. She's been a friend of the PWX project for a few years now and it's way too early for her Queen of Hardcore career to come to an end or even slow down. We've been in touch and I'm very happy and relieved to learn she will be returning to the ring shortly with 100% medical clearance to wrestle. She's hardcore! She's hardcore!
3) Souled Out ********** I was talking with Eric the other day about Uprising launch day. Eric is helping out with the logistics of actually delivering the game to our customers and he's identified at least one strong candidate to host the file and process the payment transaction. Just wondering, but are there any other indie developers out there with experience selling your games directly to your awesome customers and any advice to share regarding such service providers? We won't get a second chance at launch day so any advice would be appreciated! Shoot me an email, post on our forum, or Facebook message me if you have any advice to offer. Thank you! Eric has been putting a lot of thought into launch actually and I really appreciate his help and support. I need all I can get.
In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
Thank you for your support, Dave Wishnowski
