1) Say my Name ************************
It looks like our animation and character model issues are behind us. You may have noticed in previous gameplay videos that sometimes a character's forearm would appear pinched at times. Tiny little issue, just a graphics bug, right? Well that may have been the way it manifested itself but it turned out it was a symptom of something broken at a very deep level. Something that would prevent a lot of animations from working properly at all. But we found it and we fixed it and now our animations will flow together far better than they ever did before AND that little pinched arm thing is gone, too. But they really had to dig deep into the raw animation files to find it and we have over 2.5 gigs of raw animation data just for Uprising alone.
Which brings me to another issue that caused us time and money this week and it's so so simple to avoid. First, it would have been smart (SMRT) to make sure the animations in the game directory were named the same as the raw animations files the artists worked on before exporting. Pretty hard to find and fix an animation in the game named gr_fr_st_at_lynnpiledriver when the source file is a named strong_front_grapple_attacker_cradlepd especially when your new programmer has no idea what it's supposed to look like in the first place. And imagine the hilarity that ensues when an animator gets the attacker/defender animation names reversed for a monkey flip. Ho ho ho.
But hey, you laugh at yourself, move on, and never make the same mistakes again. What the hell else can you do? Uprising marches on close and closer to release...
2) ...never mind *************** I was going to rip on a certain wrestling promotion this week and just this morning they contacted me about working with them on a game project. I will no longer rip on them. Bullet dodged. Mortgage paid.
In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.

Well great news, you done a good job fixing that thing. seems like your game's structure is nothing I can imagine, mdickie's animation files contain several moves in a certain category so I dont know if this just works better or that its just the way its been done, Im just wondering since ive been assigned to do a total conversion of it.
