In our quest to smooth out our animations this past week we resolved to use an animation method that actually morphs the character mesh directly. It's going to involve a lot of tedious file exporting and the final Uprising file size might grow a bit but the end result will much smoother animations and the resolution of our character offset glitches. Actually I don't call them glitches. I call them "brilliant solutions in progress". Keeps me from screaming all night and wondering what the hell I've done with the last three years of my life. Of course, every solution results in a few repercussions and we'll have to modify our character textures somewhat but I'm cool with that. It's much less risky to change art than change code. At least with art you know the cost up front in terms of not only money but time. Keep your fingers crossed. We're burning at both ends over here throwing everything we have at this game. The lead programmer hasn't taken a day off in weeks and neither have I. I love my job!
2) New PWX site *************** Our current PWX site is an inactive dud. We know that. Our blinders have been on and focused just on game development with an almost clinically insane inability to recognize the need for updating a website regularly. I know we update our Facebook page every week but I also forget that not everyone is on Facebook. So our web ninja, Eric, is giving everyone a sneak peek at our new website coming soonish. It's literally a peek because he doesn't want to show the whole layout until he's done. Artists, eh?
