What is everyone else`s plans after Uprising comes out and the hardcore/tag team expansion packs hit? Thoughts?
Interesting roster. I can see you are an old school WWF fan.
I'll be adding a lot of what you have here from the WWF, plus a lot of NWA, WCCW, and AWA folks.
Lots and lots of tag teams out of the NWA/WCW such as the Midnight Express, The Rock N Roll Express. Arn and Tully (Possibly my favorite tag team of all time...especially their work together before they became the 'Brain Busters'), The Fantastics, Fabulous Freebirds (Hayes, Gordy and Roberts), WCW Freebirds (Hayes and Jimmy Garvin), Doom, The Killer Bees.
I'll probably start making more concrete plans once the game is actually in my hands and I know what I can and can't do with it.
[cite] PWX_Dave:[/cite]Not one mention of Stampede Wrestling or Memphis? Shame on you guys!
Yeah, those were great as well. I watched Memphis quite a bit growing up but I never had the priviledge to watch Stampede here in the Southern U.S. Jerry Lawler was one of my favorites in the early-mid 80's back in his Memphis days.
Unfortunately the only Stampede footage I have ever seen is the stuff that WWE put on the Bret Hart (And I think Pillman as well) DVDs. Not much to pull out of just a couple matches...especially when those matches already feature people from the WWF era I was planning on making for the most part.
As for Memphis Wrestling....I'll probably add some, but again, I never really saw much of it back in it's hay day. I have a little bit now, but most of my exposure came strictly via reading about it in the Apter mags.
So....I could see me making some...just not as a priority.
@ Monitor: The Ladder Match DVD has a Stampede match between Big Daddy Ritter (JunkYard Dog) and pre-"The Snake" Jake Roberts on it. It reeks of hilarity when you consider the particular mechanics of it (a flat ladder + a small suspended scaffolding with a bag of money on it + and late-70's wrestling = you do the math). :)
My personal favorite though was the WCW Cruiserweight Title Contendership match. All kinds of win took place in that one (not to mention a finish we've NEVER seen occur BEFORE or AFTERWARDS in a mass-participant singles-style Ladder Match), plus Leia Miao/Kimona Wanaleia/Kristina Laum was so incredibly hot too. :)

That just sounds....wrong. I'll definitely have to check it out sometime.
I actually just added all 3 discs of WWE: Allied Powers, The greatest Tag Teams of all time (Or something like that) to my queue...so I am looking forward to that a LOT.
I'm probably the odd one out but I'm not at all interested in creating anyone real. I'm going to be creating all the eWrestlers from my old efed and all the CAWs from my videogames. Oh and these characters aren't just ripoffs of the real thing. Back in my efed these eWrestlers where legitimately unique and aren't a bunch of kiddy CAWs. I'm only interested in efedding with PWX so that's my number one reason for not making real wrestlers. I hope to start a decent efed on PWX.
[cite] PWX_Dave:[/cite]I make a lot of original CAW's, too, so I know how you feel.
Hey, Monitor. How was that Allied Forces dvd? I've heard mixed reviews.
Haven't received any yet....they sent me the Hurt Locker first, which the wife and I are watching today...I've read mixed reviews on the Allied Powers as well.
I'm looking forward to seeing some Midnight Express, Fantastics, and Rock N Roll Express matches though.
