1) Wishbone Spouse ********** It's the little things that bring true happiness, right? In my case, an example of such a little thing is waking up Friday morning to see an email from our new lead programmer with the simple subject header: "Good News". Never mind that the email was sent at 6:00 a.m. and also never mind that it was just one of many daily updates I've been getting since he started a week ago. The renewed confidence and enthusiasm has spread across the crew and project. I see crew logging in and working at all hours of the day and night. Midnight, 3 am, 5 am. It's nice. Really nice. Everyone just wants to get the game out in the best shape possible before the deadline. Ego's are nothing like they were back in the early days and everyone's skin is much thicker. We're all on the same page and we all want the same thing; Ship PWX Uprising and no more delays.
We haven't been this busy since the first Telefilm milestone and I gotta say I like being busy on PWX. I just wish there were more hours in the day to do everything I want to do. (Adnan, I'm going to try calling again about that belt as soon as I can!!).
This week the crew leads have been focused on cleaning up models and animations. They're working on making the art content as lean and efficient as possible without breaking anything or making it look bad. If that continues to go well (kudos to Darrell being a soldier in the Army of Awww Yeahhh) we should be able to start combing through game mechanics next week. With the programming side of things working fulltime and overtime we should come out ok at the end of this. Better than ok. No promises, but our goal is to deliver more than we promised while making it look and act better than any video footage of PWX you've seen so far.
2) The Faces of Mac *************** Fans of Scotty Mac will be happy to know that Scotty's character in Uprising is also getting a makeover to bring him up to date with his current look. And after Darrell worked so hard on those shiny pink pants of his. Sheesh!
3) Extra Animations **************** Our new lead programmer has built a custom exporter for our animations that lets us (among other things) salvage a lot of older PWX animations that were previously thought to be unusable because they were animated from the wrong position, orientation, etc. Nice!
4) Vancouver Wrestlemania? *************** Yes! A hell of a big THANK YOU to Dave Teixeira who has put a terrific plan together to get Wrestlemania happening in Vancouver. Please visit the main site and Facebook page to show your support for Dave and help him build the buzz. Dave has a long and successful history of getting attention for pro wrestling in Western Canada and if anyone can get Vince's attention and bring 'Mania to Vancouver I believe it's Dave:
Yes! Get the game out! Stop being such a perfectionist Dave............lol. :) Although, you can`t be faulted for wanting the game to be the best it can be but like, please (note I said "please") just get it released already! More Animations? Can you name off any of them specifically? Also, if this game has been so long in development where is the "Create A Wrestler" or "Tag Team Moves"? No offense or disrespect intended but don`t you`d think with no "Create A Wrestler" system or "Tag Team Moves" the game SHOULD have been out a long while ago? Again, not wanting to sound like a smartass here but I`m just sayin.
P.S. I guess I`m either becoming a pain in the ass or helping to keep you on your toes with the game or both? Anyhow good luck my friend, keep up the good work!

To be fair... Dave and Co never promised CAW or Tag Team in Uprising.
1. If they promised these things and failed to deliver than you could be pissed 2. You should not expect things that are not promised 3. Without intimate knowledge of their production process or what it takes to get these things done you cannot fairly criticize them for a lack of CAW etc.
So ya... as long as they match all the promises they made Re: Uprising I will be happy

1. True, I am aware of that there are no tag moves in Uprising (there will be a expansion pack for the tag team stuff) and the CAW feature will be in a future edition of PWX. I know this. But if the game has been in production for like 7 years there should be a CAW system and tag team stuff but that is my own personal opinion. I just hope when the time comes these things are pretty much ready to go and won`t also take 7 years. Dave, that last sentence about the 7 years was not intended to sound sarcastic... but I`m sure you know what I mean.
2. See 1.
3. Correct! I have no knowledge of such but most wrestling games today do have a CAW system. TNA Impact took like 2 years and had a CAW system. A very limited one though.
I am not criticizing because like you mention I have no "intimate knowledge" of what does go on with the game, I am more just "wondering" I mean Dave and crew have been working on this game since like 2003. So call me curious, or skeptical but if I come across as critical I don`t mean it in a mean and or negative way I just would like to see the game come out and also what was promised, this is all.
In closing, if I offended you in anyway Dave it was not my intent. You are a wonderful, nice and understanding guy. I apologize if anything I am saying or have said has bothered you in anyway. I am just filled with lots of anticipation for this game! I have nothing but love and support for you and the team and the game. Even if to some it may seem I come off as demanding, critical........... it`s just because I want what is best for the game. I am gonna buy an alien-ware laptop so I can fully enjoy PWX. If that isn`t dedication what is? LOL.
Yea I didn't mean to come off as confrontational, sorry if it looked that way.
Given that they switched engines once (or was it twice?), the financing problems, the constant stopping and starting, the number of programmers in and out and other problems this game faced, I am not really surprised it has no CAW. Plus, if they gave us CAW it would make people less likely to purchase a bigger PWX because they could Mod and Hack Uprising to be as good or almost as good as PWX
