1) Friggin' Psycho ********** Unfortunately, our previous lead programmer had to step away from the project this week due to an exhausting battle with his health. He'll be better soon now that his only job is to relax and recover and everyone on the PWX team wishes him well. We hope to work with him again in the future when he's back on his feet.
Of course, our current pressure to release a PWX game doesn't care about anyone's health and no deadline will change for us at this point. In fact, I'm sure at least one party to the situation is hoping we don't make the deadline. But have no fear, a psycho is here to save the day. On the same day we lost one lead programmer we gained back an old one full time. You may remember me speaking of him during the prototype phase. Well he's back and better than ever. When I told him of our deadline and my concerns about polishing Uprising up in time he gently held my head in his lap and told me that everything would be ok. Figuratively of course. In fact, his main concern was that he would get bored before the deadline because he would have everything ready to go far ahead of time. He asked if it would be ok to add much more content and additional features to Uprising if we had time. Um...ok. Now I would normally be skeptical of such brave claims but this is the same programmer that produced our initial demo in about a week once he had the art assets. So I'm tempted to get excited and believe him. No offense to any of our previous programmers, but this is the kind of guy that locks himself in the basement with a sack of Subway sandwiches and doesn't come out again until his work is done. And when he says he'll get it done in two weeks he gets it done in one.
Now if I can just make sure he doesn't get Darrell and I nearly sent to prison this time. True story.
2) Uprising leaked? *************** Someone posted on our Facebook page that PWX has been spotted on various file sharing sites. These files are most certainly not a PWX game in any shape or form and most likely are just viruses. PWX has not been leaked. Everyone on the team past and present knows that we have one of those real legal teams and not an imaginary one. Thanks for reporting that to us!
3) Cha-ching! *************** Well someone else out there must believe in us because I just sold more stock in the company to a private investor this week. Score!
In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
Thank you for your support, Dave Wishnowski

Well congratulations on getting back Psycho or whatever his name is back on your crew.
Call me skeptical but............ you guys have a deadline? I remember in last week`s newsletter an investor was putting the heat on you. But if you do have a deadline it must be personal because we have no detailed information of this nor a release date. It`s hard to remain stoked about a game we still know so little about. Can you even give us a written in stone promise or better yet a "guarantee" that Uprising will be out in 2010???
As always, I ask these questions with all due respect and concern. :)
I love how you think you are "owed" something Ichr788 and demand a guarantee.
They will put out a release date when they are ready to.
I would suggest Dave and co. might wish to use the official website in it's proper capacity to continuously adding screenshots and movies. (for those of us that don't do the facebook thing)

Yo Hoop27,
I never said "I" was owed anything but the fans are owed, such as the one`s who dropped money down for pre-orders down on the game. How long have you been following this game because it has been in production since 2003 I believe... so I would say something does have to give. Dave, no doubt very much agrees with that. Dave is one of the nicest guys in the world he never gets pissed when impatient guys like me sometimes rattle his cage. He is very cool! I have very much respect for Dave and co. I am just very anxious to play PWX! I am not demanding a guarantee but it would be nice.
On another subject I am glad someone agrees with me about updating the site for those that don`t want to deal with Facebook!
Sorry I've only been following since 2006. Guess what the fans aren't 'owed' anything either. (myself included) Now if anyone deserved a better answer it's everyone who slapped down money for a pre order.
But ya the website/public communication/marketing is poor. It's great to use Twitter and Facebook. But turning off other forms of communication is a mistake imo.
I'll be honest I'm not very interested in uprising. When it comes out I'll buy it to support the future full game.
