    Hey Dave,

I have seen around the net some people calling PWX the "Duke Nukem Forever" of wrestling games? For those not familar with that term "Duke Nukem Forever" it means a game in progress with little hope of coming out. Just wondering exactly what are your thoughts when people deem PWX as such?

    Also,

I heard you had/have been accepting donations for the game and also that you have not given refunds to anyone who pre-ordered PWX requesting as such. where do you stand on these allegations? I know there was one guy on the forums asking for a refund, just wondering if he got it or if he is reading this can he tell us he received one?

P.S. On a personal note I don`t mean to put you in the "hot seat" but these are questions floating around that people want to know about.

    Hi there,

No worries. Happy to answer any questions. Obviously we're not thrilled with the Duke Nukem comparisons (at least it's not Backstage Assault comparisons!) but we're doing the best we can under the circumstances and we remain committed to finishing the project. Better late than never. Of course I wish that everything had gone smoothly and quickly but it didn't.

I have heard absolutely no reports from anyone claiming they couldn't get a refund. Totally false. Anyone who has contacted me for a refund (my contact info is on the site or they can use the forum) has received a 100% refund as I always promised.

Thanks for taking the time to ask these questions. I hope I have answered them.

    Cheers!
    Dave

Darn I wish I was here 40 minutes earlier to ask my question... Oh well. I ask anyways...

    Hey Dave,

I purchased a WGU shirt way back when they were getting promoted and stuff. I got it and I love to wear it time to time. Since then the website on the shirt has become a dead url. Nowadays I feel no reason to wear the shirt to wrestling events because I'm directing folks to a dead url. WGU seems like a dead brand. Can't tell people to join a movement that doesn't exist, right? Are there plans to evolve WGU from being only a newsletter? What's WGU's role in the development of PWX?

That's a tough one. We honestly have no idea right now what we can/should do with the WGU brand. It's certainly near and dear to our hearts but our focus has shifted away from anger over WWE games to thrills and chills of trying to develop our own game. What do you think? Any suggestions for what you'd like to see happen to WGU in general?

I'd rather hear it called a DNF then to hear it beeing called a TNA Because it got forced into release... It takes Hours multyplied by days, passion and steel nerves to put everything together for the best, It'll be out when the time is right I hope.
It would be a shame to let buggers like theeses make you think twice and putting away Incredible fan made Ideas.
I may feel strongly about the issue of your game folks, but the mediatic gaming world kind'a disgust me.

I'm not sure having any knowledge on what groups or community's would be used for in that case, thats why I'm affraid to say something completelly out of context, groups usually scare's me but regarding wrestling gaming or real wrestling in general, it seems that the world fans are walking into a circle with a leash strapped to wwe games, They have very little do do to express their passion and they'r own creativity or imagination tends to get wasted.
So I had this Idea of a gathering of all of the groups that are in there own way, wrestling fans. But before realizing it.
I already wrote half a prayer book of this idea in the comment box....:) So I'd keep it aside because if this is out of context I might not wanna pass for a lunatic again.
But if the mouvement were to be reborn I'd find that funny to closeline my opponents with a nice WGU t shirt :) bye

I can state, honestly, that I asked for a refund and never received one. I am assuming something got lost in the mail because I never even got a reply from Dave regarding my request.

Eric, I'm so sorry to hear that your request was lost in transit. I will issue you a refund asap I just need to look up your order info. Can you shoot me an email at Dave@WishboneX.com? Please post here after you have emailed me so I can keep an eye out for it. Again, I am very very sorry your request wasn't taken care of immediately and I will see to it personally that the refund is issued as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding.

I've since rethought my refund IF you can at least promise to consider developing a Linux version. Linux is in such desperate need of more gaming and having a unique game as an indie wrestling title would help us out so much. In fact, if I can get a solid promise, I will gladly pay/donate more.

    Thanks for the response!

lol I really doubt that would make them develop a linux version. God I wish there was a Mac one. I remember some talk of it.

    Actually...

A month ago I would have had to say, sorry. We won't be offering a Linux version. But as fate would have it the project was taken over by a new lead programmer who happens to be a game engine developer at heart and Linux is something he's already told us we could anticipate support for. So far he hasn't let us down or failed to deliver on any promises so we might just be able to hang on to Eric's pre order after all! Even the Mac version has entered the realm of possibility again.

If the Mac version becomes reality, will there be a way to have Mods work on both systems or would it be likely Windows only mods? Thatd be sad... i'd have to get the Windows version then (I really want the blue bar cage with glass in it lol)

That is awesome news, Dave. Check out www.playDeb.net should you want to put a Demo of the game up for free. It'll get a ton of the gamers on Linux to see it. I really am excited at this development.

Sirdingus, from what I know of computer development, files would have the same basic type so there would only have to be minor changes to make it work across platforms.

I did, Eric, thank you. I responded just a few minutes ago.

With regard to Sirdingus' mod question I brought it up with our lead programmer and he tells me that if Uprising and future PWX titles are Mac and Linux compatible (still an "if" officially) all subsequent mod and expansion packs can be single downloads that will work on all three platforms without the need for separate products for each platform.

Dave, please tell the lead programmer that made me feel good. Very good. :D! Hopefully there is a mac version! It does expand your market significantly. Plus there is not much competition for games on Mac as it is!
