I am Road Warrior Ace the unknown 3rd member of the legendary tag team the Legion of Doom...The Road Warriors. I am male 32 years old & I live in Bronx, New York. I came to America in May 1983 from Guyana with my family. Almost a year later Hulkamania was born & wrestling became one of my lifelong passions mainly because of Hulk Hogan. My hobbies include wrestling, wrestling videogames (PWX, No Mercy, Wrestlemania 2000, Fire Pro etc...), radio control & musclecars, music, mp3 players, horror movies (dvd) & the Transformers (tv show & toys). My favorite movie of all time is the original Dawn of the Dead from 1979, my favorite cartoon of all time is the original Transformers from the mid 1980s & I am also a big fan of the Dukes of Hazzard tv series.
I never bought it to be honest. I heard it was okay but nothing spectacular. Basically driving the same several missions over & overs...reviewers said it got boring & repetitive after a while. As for the movie it was a little better than I expected but you're better off watching the classic tv series instead. Nothing beats the original Daisy Duke Catherine Bach (an american tv icon...Jessica Simpson eat your heart out), John Schneider & Tom Wopat. And how can I forget the best Roscoe P. Coltrane James Best & the only & only true Boss Hogg Sorrell Booke.
Just saying hi.. disenfranchised Smackdown player who found this site one day, and to say I'm excited about the project is a massive understatement.
Huge fan of Fire Pro, but I've been wanting something that can provide the gameplay I want but with a modern look and feel. Definately looking forward to seeing this game finished!
Hey! I'm CaMacKid or for short CMK. I'm 18 and I live in New Jersey. I'm a Latino. I've been in eWrestling for like 4 years. My main character is CMK (named and designed after me). My first wrestling game was WWF Attitude (I got into wrestling around 1999). I'm a big fan of the Day of Reckoning games for the Gamecube. Other games include Twisted Metal and the original Armored Core games. My favorite Band is KoRn. My favorite guitarist is Joe Satriani. I am learning to play guitar. My favorite cartoons is the original Transformers and cartoons like Angry Beavers. I'm a fan of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (see avatar for favorite character) and Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Oh and my favorite wrestlers are Edge, Kane, and Shawn Michaels, and I was a Hulkamaniac too. Others are probably CM Punk, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles.
I'm Angle_678, I got hooked on wrestling in the summer 1993. The only wrestling my cheap cable package granted me access to was WCW Saturday Night on TBS, because of this I developed a very strong bias toward WCW. The match that turned it into an obsession with me was Flair vs. Vader at Starcade '93. It was not until Hogan made his enterance to WCW that I started paying attention to the WWF. My newfound obsession with wrestling carried over into my previously existing addiction to video games. The first game I forked over money for was Acclaim's "WWF RAW" for the Sega Genesis. I played that game nonstop until I got a PSX. From there I got into "WCW vs. the world" by THQ, "War Zone", "Attitude", and "Power Move Pro Wrestling". When "WCW vs NWO World Tour" was released for the N64 I had to buy that also. Revenge, WM2000, and No Mercy soon followed. Back on the PSX side of things I purchased every version of Smackdown! through '07. I got a Dreamcast so I could play Fire Pro D, modified my PS2 to play Fire Pro R. Last and certainly least I squandered my hard earned cash on the inappropriately named "Legends of Wrestling". Having said all of that, I hope that PWX delivers upon its ambitions, but even if it does not I will probably buy it anyway.
I'm not new here but I thought I should introduce myself... My name is Chris, I've been a wrestling fan since 2001 approximately, when I watched my first wrestling match ever. Of course, I couldn't realise that most of the things that happened were fake & that the whole match was set up from the beginning, but I still liked it. And I still do, but not as much, since every single thing is set up. Which means Triple H may be the worst wrestler ever (!). Anyway my interests are (sorted by how much I like doing those things): Playing the guitar, going out with my friends, playing on my PC, watching wrestling matches, watching TV, and finally, reading books. I've been watching the progress of PWX since October 2006, when I was desperate to find a wrestling game for the PC! You know what I mean, I have a PC, and even today I only see wrestling games for the consoles. Which is by the way very unfair but then again PWX is here!
My name is jeff, I love video games, comics, reading books and watching wrestling(especially ROH). I can't wait for PWX to come out, because I just loved No Mercy and Virtuial Pro 2.
im benlikesthesalsa but my real name is Ben and love salsa. Im a sophmore in gchs yeah the school jullien hall (or Fleatcher) graduated from. I love ps2, 360, (speed and heavy) metal, paperclip necklaces and "wrasslin". like every one else i heard of pwx in tips and tricks and i was hooked sence then now its the number 2 game im waiting on (im sorry but god i want guitar hero 3). my favroute wrestling game is no mercy single player and day of reckoning 2 with frends and i can honestly say SMACKDOWN GAMES SUCK!!!!!!!! The only reson i play them is the season mode and caw. Well i think i discribed myself enuff
Welcome to the community guys! Poke around and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Also feel free to start calling me an asshole after you realize how long it can take me to actually answer those questions ;-)
Hi, this is a bit late, but I'm Gwen! I've been into wrestling since my brother and his friends got me into it when I was 13 or so... I'm also big on MMA and various other forms of combat sport. I train juijutsu, wrestling, and kickboxing, work out religiously, and have taken so many lumps that at this point I practically CRAVE pain... sort of. Fighting is sort of my thing. To fight with passion and abandon is such a grand and romantic thing to me, which I guess is where wrestling fits in.
Someone else mentioned only playing Smackdown for the season and CAW. Yeah, that's pretty much it for me. I enjoy them, because a create-a-something and season-equivalent mode in a game pretty much guarantees that I'll like it. I also prided myself on my impeccable recreations of me and people I know using the sdvr caw... but being an actual wrestling fan, I'm much more excited for PWX! I'm hoping against hope for the female wrestling end of the game to fill the void left in my heart by the inadequacies of FPW Queen's Special, WWF/E games, and (heaven forbid)...rumble roses... >_>
Welcome to the gang, Gwen! We treat women in PWX with the same level of respect as we do the men. Women are not limited in anyway in terms of movesets, attributes, and match types nor are they required to all carry around 42 DDD breasts. A female wrestler was the first wrestler ever designed for PWX and one of the first to ever make it into the playable version. We even have a new 3D artist starting today who's job it will be to get more female characters ready for the game. I hope you enjoy our efforts!
I'm Chris. Just a simple, humble wrestling fan who will lurk menacingly in the forums and occasionally post semi-coherent strings of consciousness. I'm also patiently awaiting the PWX: Uprising release after getting the latest newsletter. :-D
hi guys,im 25 and from england,i first heard about this project bout 2-3 years ago and i remember thinking it will be dead in the water in 6 months and never see lightof day but damn u guys have really done well and i have the utmost respect for you.
if we can get anywhere near no mercy quality it sets the wrestling video game world back in the right direction and i wanna be a part of that..dammmit i miss the days of holding down A for a strong grapple, lol
hey, alex rosario (NeoLogiX) here. i'm not really new to PWX, just relatively new to these forums (drupal, i presume?). i've been a fan of PWX development for a few years now and ported my username from the old cube boards. 22 years old ATM from new york, ny, usa. my brother is the official unofficial belt designer for PWX (at least, that's what he calls himself) and i originally heard abt PWX from him. i'm a webmaster for the official website of the sphere rpg engine (http://sphere.sourceforge.net/), as well as one for the "official" forums at http://www.spheredev.org/.
my plan is to get a BS in CS at college then hopefully get a job at a domestic videogame company...
Hey there. Used to roam the old PWX forums and posted there quite a bit. Then i kinda stopped, kinda had no time to post around anymore with studies and what not but kept reading the newsletters of course. But yeah, decided to register here again. So hey all!
What's up everyone? I've been following PWX for over a year now, still can't wait to get my hands on Uprising. Wish I would've stayed more active, but eh, what are you gonna do? I'm here now and ready to give my full support to "The Cause." Ha ha, not to get all cult like on ya, but PWX is turning into what the old ECW used to be!
Hi everybody. I've been in the games industry for 5 years as an artist and character animator; my most notable project was Saint's Row and I'm currently working on The Human Weapon TV series. I've always loved wrestling games, especially the N64 AKI games and the first 2 Def Jam games (also AKI), and I loved the FirePro series. Smackdown is ok, but they're ok at best every year.
I love animating fighting and wrestling moves, and that's what most of my first demo reel was. Dave mentioned he might let me animate some moves for him, and I'd love to contribute to the project. Let's do dis thang!
Chello guys & gals. Thought it might be time to start an german invasion over here. Oh, wait...didn´t come out right.
I´m coming in peace is what I wanted to say, despite being German ;). Followed the PWX project since...forever I think. Can´t believe this whole thing appears to be finally coming true. I own a lot of the "great wrestling games", such as No Mercy, King of Colloseum and some Fire Pro games.
Anyway, I really love the approach Dave and his crew have taken to this project and so far I can´t help but be impressed of what they have already done. I can´t offer anything but promise I will purchase the game and pimp it among friends, I already did so with the starting title, but hey, I guess every kind of support helps, doesn´t it? Can´t wait for your release, guys. Now all I have to do is look for a proper gamepad for my computer since I really stink at playing with keyboard :)
As a fan of wrestling - American and Australian (my home country) - it's great to see more wrestling games being produced. I have known the insatiable itch that Smackdown and other games have left unscratched, and often times I find myself wondering why the producers of such games don't see the logical answers that an avid gamer sometimes can.
From what I've seen from PWX thus far, I'm very impressed. I really respect that the team has created their own characters and are obviously very interested in hearing what the fans have to say. If I tried to type up all my suggestions from years upon years of wrestling gaming, it would be a freaking book, so I'll save it.
I have one burning question; will this game be available outside the US (provided it does indeed reach the distribution stage) and could I, in Australia, get my hands on a copy?
You'll definitely want to save most of your ideas and feedback until after you've played PWX Uprising. Once you get a feel for what we were able to accomplish with basic gameplay (and everything we weren't) you'll have a much better idea of what will be possible to work towards next.
Uprising (and every PWX after that quite possibly) will available to you via digital download. As for getting PWX in stores that's up to whatever distribution partner we end up working with but so far we have at least one solid offer to take PWX retail globally.

I prefer to go to the shop and get the boxed version but if not I'd be happy to download it as well
I'm Zero_NBK. I'm a big fan of pro Wrestling Games. Right now i'm playing No Mercy, hahaha! I hope I could help here, 'cos I'm a CAW creator and I love to create new characters and gimmicks... By the way, I'm from Viña del Mar, Chile, in South America. The fans of wrestling games here in Chile have all the faith in the world in this game. See you guys!
Is there a 12 step program for "Starting a Wrestling Game Company when You're Clearly an Unprepared Trainwreck"? I need a hookup...
There is it's called "Starting a Wrestling Game Company when You're Clearly an Unprepared Trainwreck for dumies" You can buy it at your local imaginery bookshop :D
Hey, sorry to come in so late. I've been running around a lot, so I really haven't had a lot of time to stop in. This is Chainsaw. I've been supporting the project for a while, and am psyched to see the fruits of everyone's labor. Just wanted to stop in and say hi to you all.
Hi, My name is Adam some of you may know me from the gamefaqs boards my user name there is ys1978. I'm a hardcore Tennessee Titans fan and a Madden addict I'm also a huge Sting fan. I've played just about every wrestling game that has come stateside. I play the Smackdown games every year and they have never come close to being as good as WWF No Mercy for the N64. I'm not interested in tons of movesets or having certain moves in the game or else it's not good. All I would like to see is a in depth and entertaining wrestling game. I think Pro Wrestling X could be that game and that's why I'm here and I think what Dave is trying to do is really cool and I hope it's sucessful. I know he's got my support
My name is Bill. I've been a wrestling fan for a long time (25 years). Trained to wrestle back in the summer of '06 at the ripe old age of 32 (have been away from it for almost a year). Came across PWX about three years ago and have followed its odyssey ever since.
