    1) Holy S*** BallS!

    ***********************

When I saw an email from our accountant with the subject "Holy s*** balls!" I
    was afraid to

open it. Accountants aren't usually prone to fits of emotional outburst and when
    they are it's

often for a very bad reason.

    Not this time!

Turns out he was letting me know that our tax credit application was officially
    approved!

We were expecting it to make it through the gauntlet eventually but apparently
    the thing that was

so amazing was that it got approved with no questions asked. Our application was
    just that

concise and well prepared it seems. Remember a while back I mentioned an agency
    that wanted to

charge us $12,000 to complete the application? Well we decided to take it on
    ourselves and

I'm sure glad we did. It's not every day we get good news and it was sorely
    needed.

But thanks to our accountant and our programmer, Bill, who helped put it
    together with me. Now

let's get ready to put those funds to good use and release this damn game
    already...

    2) Uprising FAQ

    **********************

A few more questions answered about Uprising:

Q: Who's the guy in the trailer in jeans and white t-shirt? Is it a hidden
    character?

A: Unfortunately, no. That character, Big Mike, was pulled from the roster as
    he just

wasn't turning out how we had hoped. He'll return one day when we're further
    along.

Q: Can you go outside the Hammerlock?

A: Not intentionally. All that exists is empty space. We only completed art
    assets for what you

can see outside the windows. When people are happy with the gameplay action in
    the ring then

we'll look at spending some time exploring backstage area design.

Q: Are there different levels of striking?

A: Yes, there are weak, medium, and strong strikes when standing.

    3) Crew recovery

    *******************

Quick update on our crew member and his surgery last week. I'm happy to report
    that the surgery

was a success and he's expected to make a 100% recovery. He's still at the
    hospital and not moving

around much yet. The surgery was to remove a tumor in his neck pressing on his
    spinal cord. He

was in good spirits when I spoke with him yesterday but that might have been due
    to the piles of

narcotic painkillers they have him on. Enjoy them while you can buddy and get
    well soon!

    4) Lucha Libre for Gringos

    ***************************

The announcement of the new AAA Mexican wrestling game inspired me to surf
    YouTube for Lucha Libre

videos and I found something brilliant. Someone has started posting Lucha Libre
    for Gringos videos

which are pretty much tutorial commentaries overdubbed over some great Mexican
    wrestling. He

explains a bit about the characters as they wrestle, their back stories, etc.
    and I'm really

enjoying it. I hope he continues. It's a fantastic thing to do for wrestling
    fans. Thanks!
