    1) Is this thing on?
    ******************
Eric made my day yesterday. He sent me a screenshot of the new PWX site and I lit right up. Now, Eric has always done a great job of making things look really good so I wasn't surprised that the new site was similarly good looking. You can expect nothing less from Eric. What really excited me was the steps Eric has taken to make the site more effective in a very important way and that is getting more information out there about the state and progress of the PWX. Regular updates to the site, including screenshots and videos, will be able to be done much more frequently. He's worked in real time update features such as Twitter right into the main page of the site so now I can update the site from anywhere with news as it happens.

Updating the site and keeping people informed has always been something we knew we wanted to do better and in the very near future we'll finally be making that a reality. Big thanks to Eric for flexing his web monkey muscles on this one!

I used to like Jesse Ventura. Now I love him:

I had to rewind at 1:22 because I couldn't believe he actually said it:

    3) Activision gets WWE license?!
    *********************************
Details were recently released in the WWE/Jakks/THQ bribery case as the WWE appeal was lost. Interesting and slightly troubling was the news that Activision was actually a high bidder for the WWE license.
Everyone who cringes at how Activision treats licenses like Guitar Hero can only imagine the level of franchise whoring that would take place if they had their hands on WWE games. It would make Yukes and THQ look like Human and Spike by comparison. Here's where it get's really interesting, though.
Court documents revealed that Jakks and sublicensor THQ lose the WWE license at the end of this year anyway after which it reverts to...Mattel.

In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.

    Thank you for your support,
