Now I've been following the progress of PWX since about 2005 and I've only asked a handful of questions during that time, mostly everyone else will ask the/a similar question. So in spite of being repetitive I've not seen the answer to these questions...

    - What animation style is PWX aiming for with the high-flying moves, DoR, SmackDown!, No Mercy, or something completely different. Example- in all of the SmackDown! and even RAW series the move's animation cycle finished and all rotational momentum came to a screeching halt, leaving me in an awkward position floating down on my opponent and right before impact my character twirls one hundred and eighty degrees. Meanwhile in No Mercy (God I love that game.) Even with a hack to perform diving moves off the corner of the cage I can perform a fluid, high impact 450 splash. where as in SD I given hight and rate of rotation could have pulled of a damn 810 splash.

    - But wait there's more, (more?!?) much more! My second question is about online, (hoping) what will it be like (if any thought has been placed into it at this point). Will it be menu base or will it take an approach like a little known game Monster Hunter, in which you and your group collect at the bar, (I doubt a bar for a wrestling game) where you can see your character on screen with all of the other players in the bar at that time. While in the bar planning and basic BS chatting takes place, but when the time comes, head to the bulletin board choose match and stipulations, wait for your party to accept, then start game.

Answers, while highly appreciated, are not necessary. I know how hard the PWX crew is working and am grateful that so much effort is being poured into the product. So I'd rather that the game comes before my post. Thank you to all the PWX crew!

-My apologies for the long post-

On online locker room would indeed rule. Especially if you could watch matches in action, possible run-ins (within reason, we don't want every match breaking down to a 15 man brawl)? And the question thread is going to get ridiculous, when most topics on the board are questions, why have a longwinded question thread?

    Hey Jay,

Good questions. So far we've designed the flying animations to be completely static meaning the actual 450 Splash or whatever is animated in space without any movement forward or vertically. The programmers move the animation along a natural arc that targets your opponent no matter where he is (as long as he's within range). This way a 450 Splash from the turnbuckle or balcony will look like it completes rotation just in time for impact. Now, thats the way we've designed it but it hasn't worked properly for us yet so we may have to go back to the drawing board and try something else.

Online is indeed a monster. I wouldn't expect the first PWX to have any kind of intricate lobby application at all. We'll consider it a massive success to even have solid LAN multiplayer without client/server glitching.

    Making wrestling games is hard.

Making wrestling games online is painful but we're trying.

Most people buy wrestling games to play at home and not online .I mean I'd be satisfied with a good AI but a multiplayer game would be nice though not nececery
