    hey folks,
Well, I'm probably like most of the population on here when I say that I'm not exactly sure what's actually in Upraising. But that doesn't mean we can't get a head start on suggestions to help make it better.

Don't spam me if I'm too early on this one, I'm just trying to help. And besides, a have rich and powerful man once said, 'Your never on time, Your either early or late', and we can't really efford to be late on this one.

So on with the show then.
My Idea steams from playing No Mercy lately. It would really bug me when I'd have in exhabition match with interference on and either someone from and old feud would run out or someone that doesn't make any sense when it's on random.
Well, my idea to fix this is to have a 'hatred rating' system. It could be a sub-menu on each character where you'd have a list of ever person in the game. And then you can set a slider from 50 to 99, 50 meaning your ok to them and 99 meaning they may jump you before you even get to the ring. It's basically the very same thing No Mercy uses, this would give you more than 3 choices though.

Let me know what ya think or post your own ideas.
    Holla!!!

Hey that's a good idea. No Mercy had this system but the one you suggest is more detailed. Very good idea. No one ever mentioned this before.

Random run ins are annoying. Agreed. Your system sounds simple and effective. Nice!

Well Dave, I have a few other ideas too. Now is probably the worst time to ask and I have very little experience, but I'm willing to learn so if you need some help with something, maybe I could just test for you or something.

Anyways, I'll continue begging at another time. The whole deal of this topic was for you guys to post your ideas too, because I know I'm not the only one that has them.

Well just like your quote said, you can only be early or late so bring on the ideas!

I have other qoutes too, like this one from 'The Dark Knight'. "If your good at something, never do it for free"!

    Just joking...uummmm....
How is the whole online thing going?? Has anyone on your staff played an MMO?? I just recently played City of Villians and thought their server setup was a good idea. They had 8 different servers setup for different types of players. So, even if your the type that is only going to play for an hour, as apposed to the kid that pretty much lives in his mom's basement, you'd be good to go either way. But I would really like to see a CAW league!!! But it would have to be regulated. I've played in SvR tournies where guys come in with MAXed stats, then want to brag when they win! Of course you won noob, your CAW stats are at 99!!!

That's all I have time for now, but I have others. I'd like to see my tag team partner have an IQ, but I'll save that for later. Your thoughts...

As far as leagues go for PWX...I'm still probably in the minority that would prefer being able to set your characters A.I. and then SIMMING the matches between competitors with a view option so other people can watch the match as it is happening. Also maybe allow for commentary for specific people, so you can sorta produce your own wrestling shows.

I'm all for people having fun and competing against each other, so that's fine, and there should be leagues for those people, but I would love the ability to program your wrestler and then let it go and try to have an ENTERTAINING match for people to watch.

Actually Monitor I'd be right on board that train with you as well. I'm a coach mode guy/manage only guy. So I would find a lot of value into doing that as an option.

Monitor, that's exactly the sort of game I'm after too.

Perhaps strict rules could be put in place to prevent mismatches and spamming moves.
Human referees in online matches would be interesting as well, but I fear many would abuse their power.

Actually i don't think you're the only one. I enjoy simming matches between CPU's. Watching the matches is just as much fun as playing them, sometimes it's even more exciting.

Well, if people were really serious about the league the 'president' could easily fire and hire whatever referees. A heel referee could be an interesting twist.

As far as the mismatches things could be done like in a RPG type of thing. If people submitted their wrestlers to be simmed on like a show, then winners could earn more points to be spread across the board.

I like the idea of a "heat rating" that exists between all characters in the game. Older NASCAR games actually had something like this. In those games, drivers had negative ratings for rivals/enemies, positive ratings for teammates/friends, while most started out neutral. These ratings were updated constantly and in real time throughout the course of the game depending on how clean or dirty you raced others, which allowed you to quickly create new enemies & friends.

For a wrestling game that will no doubt contain hundreds if not thousands of CAWs on users's rosters, it would take FOREVER to manually set "heat ratings" for each character. We need a system that allows us to designate as many or as few friends/partners/enemies/rivals as we want while leaving all others neutral (or maybe a slight heel/face differential) for the time being. You could manually add more enemies & partners later if you want or just let the game handle it based on your actions.

These rating could influence the aforementioned run-ins as well as recurring feuds, who attacks who first in lumberjack matches and battle royals, etc. The ratings could be influenced by things like interfering in others' matches, helping allies, whether you wrestle someone clean or use dirty moves, the tone of your promos, etc.

Thanks guys, actually, I meant to mention that the 'hatred rating' would calculate itself, but also that you can go in and manually change it. Why, well me for example, I've been known to get revenge on my tag partener for messing up (while the match is going on if I can). And I don't want to have that start a fued.

Good show Monitor, but I think some folks would like the choice, especially for a title match, because they may not be too sure about their CAW's abilities and 'it's good ta be da champ'.

Hey kamatose, how would your point system work?? I can think of one I've had for a minute or two. Mine would be action based. Like winning a match cleanly would get you 3 points and let's say a promo would cost you 10 points, run-ins would cost 15, asking someone to tag with you would be 5, and so on. You can get extra for winning a 'speciality match', winng a title, defending against a run-in, ect... I suppose you can also use the points to buy new outfits, but I don't think we should be penalized for trying to make our dude look sweet. You could charge for extra outfits so their not ALWAYS wearing the same thing.

And finally, while Dave and crew are monitoring for dirty refs, could we have it where they watch for spam CAWs. I know folks will want to make their favorites, but do we really have to face a million and one Randy Ortons and twice as many Jeff Hardys?

WoW BriLLIANT idea! I hope they implement something like this.

Dude which idea?!? The point system or all of them?!?

Well, I probably shouldn't reward anyone for not being clear, but, just for RoadWarriorAce, here's my tag team idea.

OK, I think 'we' should steal an idea from an awsome game "Lego Batman" (I think it was in one of the earlier Smackdowns too) and give us the ablity to manually switch from one to the other with one button. That way, since most of the time the CPU partener is a HUGE moron and just stands there on the apron, you wouldn't have to fix the tag A.I.. I would use this and switch so that the CPU takes most of the in-ring time, and get REVENGE on all the times that some stupid CPU partener cost me a match!

Of course, I think my ideas are The Shit!!!! But I need feedback to make sure you guys fill the same way, and if you don't, tell everyone I suck and give us a better idea.
