Some times I wonder if we even look at wrestling the right way anymore. There are people who analyze and look at matches for ratings, basing judgements on personnal interests, very few even making a valid point why a match is "better" or why the show was bad.
ROH fans could look at CZW's Tournament of Death and say that is one of the most horrible shows in wrestling history, but to another could be one their best DVDs in their life.
People could look at rumors all over the internet about a wrestler and another could just turn on the tv and watch the match.
They could listen about the backstage arguments and the alligations or others can base their ideas off of the character protrayed on screen.
Hell, I could agree a match is bad if they botched every move, but maybe it was a joke and everyone can have a good laugh. Why rate enjoyment, this art form called Pro Wrestling is such a fun thing that we as people shouldn't give it stars, but just base on whether we found it good or not, simple, but effective. So who is the real winner at the end of the day....
The person that can sit down, know that HHH is going to win, but still watch the show for a good match, or a person who won't watch a T.N.A. show just because they heard that more than likely that RVD and Sabu won't be there.
I agree somewhat. I've taken a vacation from wrestling this year...but I'm thinking about starting to watch again.
I don't need OMG workrate to be entertained, but I DO like decent storylines..something to at least make me want to care about the match. The WWE hasn't been providing a reason for ME to care which is why I just stopped watching.
What little I have seen of TNA was reminding me of them TRYING to be like WWE.
I saw RAW tonight for the first time in a LONG time (Possibly the first time this year) and was actually entertained. Let's see if they can do it again next week.
WWE seems to be targeting its product at children once again, which will explain why people like us have no reason to watch it. I caught the Smackdown! tapings in Manchester last night and have to say that the majority of fans there were probably 14 or under.
