I was just watching some Impact videos and noticed that the steal chair disappears once it has been used too much. I honestly hate this.
I agree weapons need to take damage and become unusable, but I hate the whole vanishing act. Totally ruins the immersion for me.
How will PWX handle this? I always thought a good way to handle it would be to have the wrestler drop it after the chair takes too much damage, the ref then picks it up and hands it off to a ring girl to get rid of. That way you can get rid of it and at the same time not lose the immersion.
I saw that vanishing act - it looks really arcadey - i don't get why they don't just have it fall to the ground and you can't pick it straight back up for a time limit
I can understand why they do it though. Too much stuff on the screen can kill framerate and other words that make me sound like I know what I'm talking about.
In Uprising however I can say the weapons will stay put when you drop them.
Well keep in mind that we only have two weapons on screen at the moment. If people want to have like 50 weapons on screen we'll have to consider ways to handle that.
Thanks for answering my other post for "Newsletter 336". I understand you mentioned the Battle Royale mode will be awhile away and since this is a weapons thread I was wondering if you could consider possibly adding a "Weapons Battle Royal " mode where you can have weapons in the ring as well?
P.S. Also how do some of you fans of Pro Wrestling X feel about that? Thoughts anyone?
I think it would be a fine addition and wouldn't take much work if a battle royal is already coded. I personally wouldn't play it but its good t ohave the option (merely weapons on or off)
That's a find Idea and it is multple men. It can have wrestler come from the entrance and before he comes to the ring grab a weapon. You know what this gave me an idea that I will make a thread for

Now suppose 2 wrestlers both swing with a chair. Will PWX (full or uprising) have the chairs smack off each other or would it be who hits first like in No Mercy?

Damn thats good. Kind of like a sword battle. Like the same with ladders.

Exactly. Though I can imagine the difficulty with physics on this. But it would be much more interesting and would add immersion factor. Immersion is one of the most important aspects of any game. When you are so immersed, and care, it makes for the best experience. Having this would simply add to the level. Its the same reason I hate the flashing of weapons and dissappearing act. I rather just have few weapons available if its about limitations.
True. You can imagine the guys hands hurting very bad from it and dropping the chair. But not always. many ways it could go. Animation would probably need to be extensive. Hopefully it could be implemented much easier.
