I was reading Lance Storm's biography on Wikipedia and I thought he was one of the most underated superstars in the wrestling world after what WWE did to him.

You guys know any other wrestlers you feel was underated?... I mean Lance Storm was becoming the Bret Hart of WCW at one point.

Shelton Benjimen- he is so good at what he do but other wrestlers that broke out the same time as him get all the shine (Cena,Batisa, and Brock Lesner). He's left out with nothing but IC title regins and the only reason is because of fan base. Nobody want to see pure wrestling, people want to see entertainment.

Mark Henry- He should win the top title anytime now but it's not going to happen

    Charlie Haas-Same with shelton

Val Venus-He should drop the gimick and make some history but I think it's to late, the writers can't think to hard to find him a championship gimick

Cody Rhodes- I kind of feel sory for him because I think he's gonna be the next Maven. I said the same thing about RKO but look at him now

Raven- He's had his time but he needs the right respect for every wrestlers and fans point of veiw just like they do with Steve Austin and Rock. Not just some ECW reject that is always mistreated in Major Promotion, when TNA gets to the level of WWE they are just gonna throw Raven in the trash. Sad

Kane- Four words. PUT THE MASK ON, he will get more respect and instead of this little bald headed punk that jobs to Batisa easly. He should of have more world title regins but all do respect Steve Austin darkened his spot light.

Yes, I agree on Raven, he is by far one of the most underrated wrestlers in the industry. And anyway, about Storm, Benjamin, and Haas; all of them get respect in the wrestling community, just not the mainstream, so I don't really think they count.

Other names that come to mind include Little Guido, Jamie Noble, Alex Shelley (I'd rank him as probably the second most technically sound lightweight from the states after Brian Danielson) etc.

    Little Guido - for sure
Steve Corino - ok some of you might not seem him as underrated but to me this man is the next Terry Funk, and he ain getting enuff respect for my liking
Doug Williams - Why o why havent TNA or WWE snapped this guy up yet?
Jodi Fleisch - thougth he was gonna be massive after his CZW work, but nothing came of it then he retired for a bit now hes back in England, again he should be in RoH or TNA
All this is just opinion tho :)

I look JUST LIKE Steve Corino when I dye my hair, when I saw a close-up pic of his face I was like "WTF". unfortunately I don't have any good comparison pics of when I had blonde hair.

Val Venis - Great wrestler, decent talker and just a genuine cool guy. Val was leaving the arena after a house show in my home town and was kind enough to hang up mid conversation with his wife to sign autographs and chat with me and a couple other guys. He made me a fan for life from that.

    Chris Jericho.

He really never got a shot (aside from the Undisputed angle). After that, he was never the same, and I don't think it's fair. Look at wrestlers like Triple H, who get title shots daily, or John Cena who keeps the belt for years at a time.

    Takagi...like from Nakatomi Plaza?
Matt Hardy and Shelton Benjamin - must be the most underrated...

I say Lance Storm & in my opinion he is THE #1 underrated wrestler since I've been following wrestling since the mid 1980s.

i'd have to say Billy Kidman. He has great cruiserweight moves and is still big enough to wrestle the likes of Hulk Hogan. WWE never gave him the push that he deserved. I loved when he and Rey used to tag together.

I don't think Matt Hardy is underrated - the Marks and the Smarts like him, he is pushed to an upper midcard level and will likely have a main event feud with Edge when he returns.

Shelton Benjamin isn't underrated either - he is supposedly just lazy in that he doesn't think he needs to improve so doesn't work hard to get better, hence WWE don't push him as hard as they thought they were going to.

I think Mike Modest is underrated and it's a shame him and Christopher Daniels didn't get to WCW til it was too late. I went and saw PN Neuz wrestle the other day against Doug Williams and he was better than I thought he would be by a mile. There were two NOAH guys there as well. If it wasn't for the massive amount of racism and homophobia from the crowd (and one wrestler) It'd have been a very very good show. As it was it was simply "good".

I couldn't agree more with Val Venis- he got some great technical skills, he can high fly if he needs to and the guy has a great build. You could easily have him in a world title hunt, he just needs a real gimmick.

I also think that Kane gets undersold for what he can do. He is one of the better big man wrestlers in the sport today. I remember the 2001 Royal Rumble, not very often a big man will stay in the ring for almost an hour, but can came in at an early number and was the 2nd last guy there, more importantly, he was active the entire time. Kinda off topic, but i hate when some stays in a rumble for a long time and does nothing, like Rey Mysterio in 2006, for most of that match he was in a corner doing nothing. Say what you will about Benoit, but in 2004 he was always in the match.

Charlie Haas- Why didn't Haas and Shelton have a feud when he came back? I would of loved to of seen that match and I'm sure it would of been great for both men's carrers. If you wanted to revive the Intercontenital Title, take both of these guys and have them fight for it. wouldn't be that hard an angle. Find some way to take it off the 'Boredozer' Umaga and have a tournament with Haas and Benjemin as the final two. Have some kinda screw ending(ie, Charlie hits Shelton with the belt with the ref not looking, puts him in the Haas of Pain and wins) then you can have them feud until the next PPV and put them in a grudge match like a ladder or cage match. God it must be so hard to be a writer for the WWE.

I like Charlie Haas but it's difficult to know if he is under rated or not because he's never been given the opportunity to work a decent length singles match.

His Impact finisher is a German Suplex Bridge-Pin, his Submission finisher is the Haas of Pain (modified Clover Leaf Hold), and he provides support for the WGTT double team finishers of the World's Greatest Leap Frog and the Powerbomb Device.
