Thank you to everyone who picked up the challenge last week and submitted texture mods for Uprising characters and ring mats. It's official, after seeing the mods that came in from a variety of people I can guarantee that Uprising will will have an army of user created content available. It's all just turning out to be so easy and the final results have been very encouraging right across the board. I didn't have time to post pictures of every mod we had submitted but I hope you'll enjoy the two pics I did post on our Facebook page:
Keep and eye on the PWX forums over the next week or so where I promise to post the ring apron textures and the textures for Cesey as well because a lot of people have been asking to try out some female mods.
If you guys can pull off results like this without any mod tools or detailed support then I am very much looking forward to seeing what you can pull off when we open the flood gates.
Thank you to Dave, Michael, and Davis for supplying the mods featured in the pics this week as well as everyone else who took the time and effort to submit their work. I wish I had time to post pics of every single mod but it's been one of those weeks...
2) All in all it's just another brick *****************************************
I'm reading that Last Lecture book that you might have heard about. It was written by a man with terminal cancer and given just a few months to live so he decides to give a very open and honest last lecture where he works as a professor. Well in the book he talks about brick walls you might face in your life and how they are put there, not to stop you, but to prove to yourself that you have what it takes to surpass those walls. Well I'm looking at a pretty f'n big wall right now in the form of one of our investors. The wall itself isn't so frustrating (faced so many I can't remember them all) it's the fact that every time I reach the top of the wall they add another 20 f'n feet of bricks. Wouldn't the courteous thing to do be telling me exactly how tall this wall is going to be before I grab my climbing gear? Because it does me no good to bring 20 feet of rope to a wall that ends up being a 40 high wall before I reach the top.
Aww but I'm just whining and that doesn't do anyone any good. My energy is better spent accepting just climbing rather than standing at the bottom shaking my fist.
3) Link of the Week ********************
Proof that wrestling is a performance art when you only need one wrestler to have a convincing match:
There has been a lot of talk lately regarding a book titled Ring of Fire that apparently paints a pretty sick picture of the pro wrestling industry. Have you read it? And even if you haven't have you stopped watching some or all wrestling shows because of what goes on behind the scenes?
Gotcha. A few people other people mentioned that to me as well so Eric is going to post the pics on the PWX site in the next few days. I'll also start posting things on Photobucket as well. Sorry for the hassle :-)
