1) TV Licensing

I want to start by thanking everyone who took the time to send their condolences regarding the passing of my dog, Clive. Eric posted a pic of my old buddy on the PWX site a few days ago. Thanks again, everyone. Very kind of you.

It's been a grueling week but not one without some positivity.
Again, activity has picked up with the broadcaster wanting to do an MMA game with us. Our last meeting with them yesterday identified their strategy moving forward. They'd like to do a small MMA game for PC with about a 12 month development cycle.
At the same time they want to produce a tech demo for an Xbox 360 MMA game, nothing more than two fighters in a cage with identical move sets. Not that I'm terribly qualified to give advice on the subject but I told them that they'll be competing with a big budget THQ game that focuses on bleeding edge visuals. Sound like a familiar predicament? Unless they're willing to risk at least $10 million dollars I think they'll have to put a lot of thought into how exactly they can offer a more unique experience to gamers.
Going head to head with THQ without a big budget or a UFC license?
Not impossible, but certainly not something you rush into without a solid plan either.

Not that we can really rush into anything, anyway. Until Uprising is locked down and released we can't move forward anyway. Yes, we're still waiting for one of our financial backers to sign off on the project. I'm as bored writing about it as you are reading about it.

I'm putting together more screenshots and (gasp!) gameplay footage over the weekend in the frickin' hope that this log jam will clear soon.
Gotta do something productive or I'll go nuts...


2) Is the Canadian Destroyer in the game?

Not since "Is Hulk Hogan in teh game?" has there been a more common question about upcoming wrestling games. I decided to have some fun with it and at the same time poke a little fun at ourselves. Sure, we stuff a lot of Canadian content in PWX but could we not cram in a little more? We stopped short of adding moose horns and a beaver tail. Stop by the PWX site and check out the latest screenshot update to see for yourself if the Canadian Destroyer is in the game.

What one Legend do you most want to be in the upcoming Legends of Wrestlemania game?
I'm more concerned about your favorite Legend, period, regardless of whether or not they competed in Wrestlemania of for WWE either. Who would it be and why?
