    1) Give it
    *************************

A bit of exciting news yesterday. That tv show we've been mentioning is apparently
being picked up by a few more broadcasters and our game project is included in the
deal. One of the broadcasters is a major U.S. one and not one of those digital
specialty channels either but a real network. I tell ya, if all of these deals
keep panning out we're going to make back way more than we spent developing PWX in
the next few years. What a completely unexpected way for things to turn out. Not
only financially, but overall in terms of marketing and promotion of the PWX
franchise as well. If this tv show really takes off and we're the developers of the
official wrestling game for the show it will really help improve the perception
of the company all around. Never in a million years would I have guessed that
a tv show would play such a huge part in our (hopefully) success.

We received another distribution contract for Uprising earlier this week as well.
We're all ready to go on that front but our hands are tied due in part to one
of our main financing partners. We submitted Uprising to them in December and they
still haven't signed off on it for release. I met with them almost four weeks ago
to get the ball rolling but they're pretty swamped due to some big staffing changes
over there. I'm told they are working through their backlog and we'll just have to
    wait it out. Fun.

Of course, with all these tv deals coming in we've had to spend a lot more time
looking into the free-to-play model as well. It seems like we'll be releasing
a free wrestling game in the near future regardless of how Uprising in particular
will be handled. One the PWX board people have been suggesting we give Uprising
away for free and just charge a buck or two per feature down the line. We've
learned we can do that and the online e-commerce solutions are there if we
decide to go that route. Truthfully, so many options are up in the air that we
just can't rule anything out at this moment. I just don't want to let people pay for
Uprising now only to turn around and give virtually the same game away soon
after. That's just unfair to everyone who has supported us so far. If a free game
is on the horizon I'd feel much better about just refunding all of the pre orders
and pointing everyone towards the free game instead. But at present at least we have
the security of knowing we have distribution for the paid version of Uprising in place
and if the free-to-play wrestling game looks like it isn't going to pan out, thats it,
we go ahead an release Uprising as planned from the start.

The game content controversy has been raised (or is it lowered?) to a whole
    new level:

Have you ever played one of those free PC games like Maplestory and paid for
    additional in-game items?

    yeah, not a great link.

I'm definitely not a fan of Catholicism, but as a Christian, it was kind of offensive.
  2.
Definitely offensive, but i can see the humor in it. As a christian myself i have no quarrel with it. It's not poking fun at the religion but at reality. People need to be able to laugh at things especially themselves. i just hate to see how people just take things too seriously. I mean when someone makes a Michael Jackson crack people will laugh, but when its about about Father O'Conner, or Cardinal Shea then the same joke is too edgy? What sense does that make?

Church men raping little boys is no laughing matter...
It's not at least 1% funny, I'm sorry...

Did you guys read what the developer had to say on their website? They claim the game was produced to bring awareness to the problem but I don't know. The 'game' is a little too cute and it certainly isn't trying very hard to tackle the subject in a serious way. Despite the developer's claims it comes off as an attention plea to me.

Ur right spudz and I see where you are coming from. But my point is that it shouldnt be funny across the board. every stand up comic has a routine about michael jackson touching kids and people eat it up. But when a priest does it its serious? its wrong all across the board. I have 2 kids and I can guarantee you this, Neither Michael jackson or a damn priest are coming around them. Thats why I laugh that nonsense off. There's nothing we can do about it, its happened as long as anyone can remember and the church will always cover it up and goverment will pay it no mind.

Yes making jokes about that is funny. But making a game where you have to lie about priests having sex with boys isn't.
Sure jokes are funny, but this isn't a joke.
