It's supposed to come out at the end of the year but shit happens. We have no idea if there will be any delays in development. Or if the team will get a last minute idea mere days before the game will officially go gold. And then there's the whole problem of finding a publisher. So we'll just have to wait and see.
On a sidenote, you do not want the game to come out too soon.
People - we don't want to play the game as soon as possible - I was kidding. We all want a good well finished game - so I'd say somwhere around 2009 - even 2010 is a reasonable date for such a project :) But hey,Dave - the sooner the better, but still...
Okay Dave said a couple of months ago on gamefaqs when I asked about the official release date, Dave said sometime in 2008 or else he will pack & go home (which will never happen because he will in debt for the rest of his life from his toe to his cheekbone). So he has to see thing this through & it will be released sometime in 2008.
the game has been in development for how long now 2 or 3 years right i thinkthe summer of 2008 is a pretty reasonable date as for a demo maybe early 2008
The demo can be released any time - it just needs 2 wrestlers and some moves - AND A PIN (we want to FINISH the matches) Just to see what's the feeling..
If I had all the money in the world I'd wait until we had every mode and every feature of my dream wrestling game completed before releasing. But we don't have an unlimited budget and there are those in the industry advising us to release a 2 player demo with one level and no CAW to the public to raise awareness and attract more $$$. That could happen later this year if we decide to go that route.
I think that's a great idea. Not only is it a great way to possibly raise $$$$cash$$$$ but it will also satisfy our thirst for PWX...at least we can play around with it. It gives us something to do & you won't be hearing as many Dave when is PWX going to be released???
woohoo go for demo go for demo. (end of homer chant) now i really mean it, a demo would rock in so many ways, a it'll serve better than any screen shot\highlight reel ever could, b modding could start, which means the demo wouldn't be the same thing over and over.
and when you start modding early, you can post screen shots of your mods here and when the game comes out, you'll have a veraity of mods to choose from. and like i said before, if you release a demo on game spot (btw someone should really update the 18 screen shots on game spot, it's not enough) and gamespot being the biggest gaming site tons of people would start tracking pwx.
plus if you add a release date on there, like Q3 2008 it'll draw people.
Dave i know you must have exhuasted all sorts of ideas but what bout going to ROH or better yet japanese feds and putting in their roster for a fee and not paying them anything but it gives them publicity or they get some sort of royalty out of the deal if they putt money in?
PWX_Dave I must say that what they advised you is really a good idea. You'll attract more people and furthermore we'll have a wrestling game (even a demo) to play until' the "Ultimo Wrestling Simulator" is out. Of course I'm referring to PwX.

Ahh PWX, I thought you mean smackdown vs raw 2008.
