To the developers: I'm curious... is there a point you could reach where you will have a game far enough along that SOMEONE will pick it up just to have a release, or are the smaller distributors content to allow a nearly finished product rot because they're not sure what kind of sales numbers it'll pull?
I thought you were going to say, a point of no return from whence the PWX team can turn back, forget PWX and pick up normally... to which I was going to say, you're about 5 years too late.
As for the real topic, do we really want to rely on developers picking up PWX 'just because it's there?' I wouldn't class myself as an optimist, but I'd say there's a solid chance that PWX has already progressed past having to rely on that.
Oh we're already at that point. There is no shortage of PC distributors that have expressed interest in distributing Uprising via digital download. We just have to be very careful about first impressions and picking the right deal. Even at this point there is a lot of action going on regarding releasing it as a free to play game vs. charging for it. We can't charge for it and then suddenly decide free would be better or we would alienate a lot of our supporters.
Yes, those who already paid, definitely. Have you considered creating additional content for those who've already paid on top of what you'd already planned?
Perhaps a second arena or a couple more wrestlers. Might be small consolation for some, but bidnass is bidnass and sometimes you gotta play the game.
