As I'm going to mention in the newsletter tomorrow, our page on Gamespot is horribly out of date. And while our time is arguably better spent on other things the Gamespot page has gotten so out of date that it can't be ignored anymore. We need to update it with pics that more accurately represent the Uprising release rather than the concept art from years ago.
Can you guys browse our screenshots and suggest new pics to submit to Gamespot?
well first off, post the 2 clips. vids are always better than stills. as for pic just take new ones especially for this, that way you can make certain stuff with the most updated content of the game. going back to old pictures won't show the game as it is now, it'll show progress (if posted in the right order) but it will not showcase the game's updated visual and basic features.

That's wise. Also, I think it would behoove the video if it weren't just clips of one move, then the next move, etc. Show some footage of reversals, of combinations, of spots, with each wrestler getting in a move or two.
It need not be complicated; just have P1 whip P2 to the ropes, P2 ducks a clothesline, and pulls P1 in for a cradle piledriver. This shows substance to the gameplay, and goes beyond just showing which moves are in the game. Also, show some nice spots that aren't in the mainstream games (Smackdown!), such as even the simple things like pushing a wrestler from the turnbuckle to the outside floor, fighting on the ring apron, or springboard moves.
Dave what the hell are you doing I paid money to you for the preorder of Uprising when you release it now you are saying that you might give it out for free did you take my $%^&@!$ Money give us the damn game we waited to long for it if distibutors are just taking your money then go ahead and release on your site but Dave DON'T FORGET YOUR FANS. RELIVER PRO WRESTLING X UPRISING.
I should clarify, sorry to upset you. The one company asking us to deliver Uprising for free is also offering to 100% refund all pre orders plus possibly a little extra in thanks for your support. I thought I mentioned that in an earlier newsletter and post but perhaps not. I'm very sorry if it appeared to be anything other than positive for those who pre ordered. Also please keep in mind that we haven't agreed to free distribution yet. It's just an option we've been proposed and thats why I thought it was very important to ask your opinion on the matter.
Dave I know that you are trying to do your best but we the fans can make money for you by buying your game not the corporate guys the fans should come first if you have the game release it please try http://www.cafepress.com MDickie has made Wrestling MPire 2008 and has placed it here http://www.mdickie.com/gam_wm2008ce.htm you see he has a online distributor and I always buy his games cause there good but how much more better is your game past Smackdown thats all series combined Please Dave some of us waited 4 years for this game and to say you have Uprising just sitting there collecting dust isn't far please Release you can don't be afaid of Corp Guys.
You did mention it before, in passing Dave, a few newsletters back.
Glad you reiterated the point again though.
As for it not being fair, I'm not in complete agreement with that sentiment.
I can understand people losing patience...for some of us it has been a LONG time coming, and to hear the game is done yet we still haven't seen it in action, or gotten our hands on it is hard.
But necessary...you have to do what is best in the LONG term, and not worry about pleasing some of us in the short term.
You really should do something about gameplay footage. I think a little teaser could help smooth out some ruffled feathers.
I agree with "InTheZOne". Put some good photos and videos together. Perhaps ones that show aspects of the game we haven't seen in your short showcase clips and release them gradually until the ditribution of uprising. BTW maybe you guys could post the bios of all the playable characters and show a few videos and pics of each individual.
I agree with Yummelons ... seeing some of the playable characters with alittle bio would be good, Ht, Wt, finishers, brief description of character, face/heel ?
If he 'just released it' and 'wasn't afraid of the Corp Guys' he'd probably end up signing a deal that'd screw the game and the fans over because he rushed the decision. As a fan you shouldn't want him making any rash decisions.
'Just release it'. You were just complaining that you paid in advance. They can't release it for free because you'd be ripped off. They can't release it for free AND repay you because they don't have that kind of money. They can't release it for what you paid because it's not the same game that you paid for. So they have to find a distributor that'll take care of that and that's what they're doing.

What they said is awsome this would make the fans inceticapate the arrival of the game. If you do this it will get so many people in it, it would be a WWE hype. Relase some stuff to IGN and Youtube. Make some CMV(Charector Music Video) post a match too
New promo shots are done (soooo sexy) and we'll be submitting them to Gamespot next week. Gameplay video has been captured, too, but won't likely be posted until distribution is friggin' decided. Next week is big for us in that regard as we're finally going to be able to see a year into the future after next Thursday.
FYI: release it for free and repay all pre orders is precisely the deal we're finalizing (or not) next week...
There will be an update this weekend. Nothing new has been done recently with the exception of promo material for Uprising. Next week we'll learn if we're adding online multiplayer or a story mode and then we can get back to being productive.
Still hoping for an online Story mode in which we all could play together ... I know its a stretch but I do this in Racing with a server ... I've said it before too and not to be as repetitive as the commentary in SVR series but If I can create a race car and race against 42 other human racers with their created race cars ... I don't see much a diffrence playing against however many wrestlers in our own server, federation (s) , where we control just 1 in many wrestlers. How real would that be ?? I mean does it sound realistic in this " wrestling engine "?? could I interact maybe backstage / locker room with another wrestler, maybe type chat or forum talk with someone else about the possibility of teaming up for a match, or going after the tg team titles ?? more realistic that attributes as there is always someone better than I out there who should be champ. We would control our own destiny ... or own story mode ... maybe create 1 wrestler to control and 1 manager / diva to control but would have to manage someone else not yourself. This is my fantasy wrestling game ... never played xbox live wrestling but feel this would make for a dominate wrestling game experiance. Anyone Agree ??? Ideas as to what else you'd add ?? Not to be to much like WWE, But a possible booker type player, a minnistator possibly ? or GM of a diffrent show ( Raw or Smackdown ) although use our own names for these shows.
