A level editor? What is that?Make our own arenas? I like the idea about a Belt edior :) What's with that?Graphic file import or Create a Wrestler style? (Create a belt)?
To me the belt editor is sooooooooooooooooooooooo unneeded. Its fine if it takes little to no man power to implement but really is unneeded. But thats just my feelings
Meh when I use to run an efed I just used Poser and made my own belts lol ah Good times.
I'm just saying if I had a choice between a really good CAW and no create a belt vs a nokay CAW with a create a belt I would take the former.
But luckily something like create a belt is in reality a skinning issue with a small database creation aspect which any code monkey could do... lol what I go to Waterloo... I know code monkeys... they make me sad... work 24/7 coding blackberries... so very... very... sad
Well since you put it that way...first you gotta have a caw. Caw is the #1 thing above everything else then followed by a belt editor. But honestly I welcome everything else that comes after but caw & belt editor is all i am concerned about.
CAW is top priority, heck, as Dave mentioned before, the whole roster is being built around CAWs. But the Belt Editor, Level Editor, these are all necessary imo. I'm sure Dave and Crew wants the first PWX to be a successful one, and if they don't at least match the Smackdown games in terms of features (or even better yet, exceeding them in features), gaming review sites might tear the game apart. Having just a CAW mode and some basic modes would probably satisfy some PWX fans who have been following the project for forever, but to really make a splash, there's gotta be alot more to it. The first impression matters most.
The belt editor should actually be quite easy to implement (now, the belt PHYSICS on the other hand, would require something make it work), and besides, being the biggest belt mark on this whole entire PWX supporter team (and that's a LOT of people), I've already offered my services to Dave to officially create default belt content (plate textures, mostly)...over the PHONE, no less!
Fullmetal has shown us some very nice belt designs and I hope we will indeed get to work with him in some capacity when we get to that stage.
We haven't designed the entrance editor yet because we haven't completed any venues that would make use of big WWE-style entrances yet. It's all about gameplay in the Hammerlock at the moment.
The made create mode should be the CAW - I mean, without a CAW, how replayable or entertaining is a wrestling videogame, right?
Another mode that would SERIOUSLY work and make this game sand above the rest, is a "Create A Move" mode. Seeing as many new moves in wrestling have been created by sheer experimentation, it'd be nice if we got a way to do the same....kinda what the Gameshark would do for hacked moves in the SD! series:
Splice together moves to create one fluid animation. Of course, you could input limits - frames, move impact, length, power, all of those variables could be tweaked in a way that, if online, a player couldn't spam their created move or make it all-powerful. If anything, it'd be like "Create-A-Finisher".

You can one-up WWE's entrances. Have an entrance, where the guy goes into the ring, and a nuclear missle is lowered onto the stage. The guy then whips out a lazer gun from under the ring and shoots the missle setting it off... luckily a force field was in front of it, so no one in the audience gets hurt... unfortunately everyone else in the town is now dead, but no one cares.
Also, as I mentioned about the exploding cars and whatnot. The lazer gun should also be a foreign object, and we don't want people no selling weapons, so I think that after you shoot the guy with the lazer gun to make the selling better, the guy should stay down for atleast a good 15 seconds, no less than that.
Maaannn....how 'bout some "ultra techno new age superstar world war pyrotechnic entrance" that would make Vince McMahon cry out of sheer joy?
I think if piossible, the gaem should have entrances to fit the characters - like big heels have an "Incredible Hulk"-like entrance where they sorta f\go crazy and have a meltdown, then wlak down the ramp looking scary and screaming at the fans.....or the given helicopter entrance - like Sting's Nitro entrances back in the day.
then there's the naqtionalistic entrances: a captain america ish person who walks in, salutes, red, white, n blue pyro blows out of cannons as the american flag waves on behind them. Then the japanese: same, but different colors, and instead of red, white n' blue confetti, white lotus petal fly out. Also, he/she's escorted out by their crew(optional).
and finally, for now, there's the "bad ass" entrance, where wverything is dark, and only the green light spectrum comes out of the entranceway and the only thing visible is the shadow of the wrestler coming out. Think of it like Triple H's entreance, just meaner looking, with a dash of Ivan Drago thrown in.
Of course, you can always have some one be taken to the arena by a giant monster, who crashes in....:P

Problem: It takes a carefully orchestrated shaped explosive charge to set off a nuclear device. Conventional demolition or damaging the weapon itself actually rend the thing ineffective, though it can set off the conventional explosive, but it's not going to go nuclear.

I would really like a ring/arena editor, even if its a simple case of being able to edit the rope colours and being able to create a graphic for the middle of the canvas.
Are you guys planning to leave as many graphics and other files as possible accessable via the games folder when installed on the PC?
I hope you can/will so people like me can easily change in game textures etc. It would also increase the number of fan made mods for the game if you could.
