In Reference to WGU Newsletter #300: "I actually played a full match and it worked with no bugs. From the start of the match where I chose my character all the way through the strikes, flying moves, weapons, submissions, near falls, to the final pinfall it all worked. The animations, the gameplay, the graphic overlays, the audio, the particle effects, the damage system, it all worked.
Five years later I had a match. Sweet merciful crap I had a match in PWX. It may not have been a five star classic but it was a match and it was fun."
Please give us some details Dave...Did it have the NO Mercy feel to it?
How was the A.I., was it competitive?
By the way, I wanna congratulate you on having your first complete FULL match in PWX! You've come a longgggggg longggggggggggggg way!!!! Thanx.
Woooo!!!! Truthfully the match was clumsy, clunky, and rough around the edges but that's acceptable at this point because our goal was to get the game mechanics simply working. Now we can polish everything, play test it, and make it more fun. The fun news today was that our deadline to deliver to Telefilm has been set for tomorrow now at 2:15 so we've got some work to do fast!
I was gonna order 3 large pizzas for delivery to the studio. Then she reminded me that the little bit of money we have in the bank has to last us until the 21st.
It went great! They accepted the game with only a minor request that we change the way they're credited. It was a looong day and I think we're all going to collapse now. The crew really pulled it together in the last week putting in long days and nights to get us everything we needed. Eric, Bill, Sardeep, and Darrell, are the heroes for sure.

I'm happy as hell that everything went good. Can we have tag team matches in Uprising or is just singles?
Rest? Bah! Big meeting on Friday to present to a 360 publishing agent and an important call tomorrow. Go go go go!!
Thanks Spunk, but you might want to reserve kudos until you play it. We were able to make a wrestling game we're not ashamed of but we've got a long way to go before people start selling their Fire Pro and KoC collections.
Phew, I was gettin' nervous bout the lil' wrasslin' game that could there, for a minute. Much respect to you guys for putting your balls on the table and getting through the crunch time.
How would you honestly say the core game engine (and thus, your core gameplay) stack up to say...Wrestling Kingdom 2? I sat down and had a 9 minute-ish match, playing as Great Muta Vs. Kea, and while there was fun to be had...I couldn't shake off the frustration of how sloppy some elements were handled, the biggest being running attacks (both strikes and grapples), aerial maneuvers and reversals (however, I suck at reversing so that's probably my bad, more than anything else).
