I'd really like to see different controls for different styles. For instance(Assuming there are 3 buttons to use grapples and strikes all together)... I'd like to see a boxers controls set up so two buttons controls their punches(right mapped to one button, left mapped to another) and grapples in another button.

For martial arts I'd liek to see kicks and punches in two striking buttons and grapples in another.(unless its judo, then it would be opposite)

For lets say technical wrestlers, maybe 2 grapple buttons and one striking, and even in the strikign maybe have a grapple state.

Maybe for powerhouse wrestlers who tend to use less, have one striking button and one grapple button, and thats all. Maybe for a boost in move strength.

I just thought this would be cool. It would have a slight learning curve for each style. I don't know, I just thought it would be awesome.

How would the grappling itself work in this layout?

Im assuming the grappling system works with a direction and a button press? Im not 100% sure how the grappling in pwx works though.

We learned early one that most gamers had a HUGE problem with any kind of class or style system. There are just too many wrestlers that don't fit neatly into a pre-defined style and we don't want to artificially limit what CAW creators want to do. That being said, some button mapping will be allowed in PWX but nothing quite to the extent you describe.

The grapple system uses just one button. No need to press the d-pad until after the grapple initiate to execute your next move.
