Will we be able to designate tag team finishers for tag teams & designate which member of the tag team will do each part of that finisher?

Also can we rename a tag team finisher?

I would also like to know if we can choose 2 regular moves as a tag team finisher? Let me explain. For example, i was watching a match with the Powers of Pain & the Warlord powerslammed his opponent & while they opponent was laid out on the mat, the Barbarian came off the top rope with a flying headbutt on the opponent followed by a pin. Will we be able to do something like this in PWX?

    Thanx.

I like your thinking. This could be an option in the Stable/Team mode, rather than the Moveset mode. This way, wrestlers have their own individual finishers, and tag team finishers.

Also, why not be able to rename all moves, not just tag team finishers? It's a nice idea, but if you do it for those, why not all?

Why would you need to rename moves, unless it appeared at the bottom of the screen a la PS1 Smackdowns. My CAWs trademark move was called Shoes! for no reason at all.

Unless it'll be referred to in story mode of course, or character select, in which case good point.

That's true, it would only matter if it were visible at these times. I assumed this would be the case in suggestion. Especially given the season would probably be text-based, it could come up in story mode.

Thanx. I am a big fan of tag team wrestling especially big musclemen with awesome gimmicks like the Road Warriors, Powers of Pain, Demolition & even the Master Blasters. In fact, I am a bigger tag team wrestling fan than singles thats why i ask so much questions or make suggestions pertaining to tag teams in PWX.

And I do agree they should give us the option to rename ALL WRESTLING MOVES & TAUNTS also in the game not just tag team finishers!

When selecting wrestlers, if finishers are displayed, it would be neat to have the name of your finisher, say "Sweet Chin Music" rather than "Superkick #1." It's not as if it would be difficult to implement, just make it possible to rename moves in game via typing. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but it doesn't seem too hard.

If I remember Dave said yes we would have the option to rename moves & even the selection screen menus too.

I think we should be given the option to rename moves. Copyrights and trademarks will prevent a lot of moves from being called what they are most known as. When making a CAW it would be much easier to choose the moves for your wrestler if you've already went through the movelist and renamed a lot of them to something that's easily recognizable. Even something as simple as striking animations were there may be 20 or so different punches. It would be much easier if you could rename each punch to something other than "punch 1", "punch 2" etc.

I'd like to be able to rename moves.

As an example: I have a ficticious character named Clint Rogers, as part of a tag team Wet N Wild.

When he first started his finishing move was the Hang Ten (Missle Dropkick) but after awhile he changed it to the Wipeout (Rocker Dropper/Fameasser)

Being able to re-name those moves would work with him.

Good question. I've actually been excited about tag team matches ever since I seen the screenshots of the Hart Attack and one of the Midnight Express finishers (don't remember what those moves were called in the screens). It just wouldn't look right though if Jim Neidhart delivered the flying clothesline instead of Bret or if Stan Lane came off the top rope with the leg drop instead of Bobby. The ability to designate roles on tag team moves would fix that.

I also like the rename all moves suggestion.

Who cares what wrestler does what tag team finisher as long as the tag team finisher is in the game. Besides, you should be able to set the finishing tag move to whatever tag team member you want to see do the move by giving that wrestler that tag team finishing move specifically. Just have his partner assist him or something. I`m sure the pro wrestling x game makers will work it out.

DX only used a team finisher once to my memory: a Four-Man Powerbomb (which I will hence dub the "D-Generation" or the "Break-It-Down Bomb" (pick your favorite name) on Hawk through the announce table after the Tag Title match between LoD and the Outlaws.

The rest of the double team moves mostly resulted in sequences, like Gunn's Fame-Asser to Roadie's Crazy-Legs Knee Drop or Chyna or X-Pac's Low Blow to Haitch's Pedigree.

Of course, now HHH and Shawn have Sweet Chin Music, stunning the opponent to set up for a Pedigree.

But again, it's a sequence team move, and the tag team TANDEM moves still need to be ironed out before the crew can work on animating custom tag SEQUENCE moves.

I think sequence moves should be done manually, not be a canned animation.

Yeh I remember that...when that (***please insert curse word here***) Vince McMahon took the greatest tag team of all time: THE ROAD WARRIORS/LOD & jobbed them to every second rate team in the WWF. Bastard. This still makes me upset to this day!

The problem with that is you only control one team member at a time. If I wanted to do, say, Lo Down's old finisher (superplex followed by from splash) you would never be able to hit it with the same timeing as you would do a superplex, run over tag you opponent, climb the rope, hit the frog splash. Canned animations make it much slicker. Either that or there should be a way to trigger you parter to climb the rope, but that seems a little over complicated. Maybe a way to switch control without tagging, so you could trigger the superplex quickly switch control and climb the rope ready for the frog splash.

Maybe you could assign a tagteam partner a command route for certain button presses, that would be pretty cool

Hmm, I think something simple might work for these. Like a little bit of additional logic when you assign two characters to be a tag team. Like programming the AI in Fire Pro for "Follow this move with this move" that I use for the Candian Cutter to Crossface, there could be something similar for tag AI. IE, set it so if Character A does Move X, Character B's AI knows to follow with Move Y. Setting it for unilateral or open (IE locked into character, or either member of the team doing it) would also be an option included in my ideal AI set.

That sounds great. I've never thought of that beyond the single character level - but it would work very well with tag teams. Nice idea.

Aye, I like the idea of that too, so simple. Could it become a bit of a pain though? I'm thinking like what if you want to get the quick pin with your half of the move and your partner climbed the turnbuckle instead of protecting you from you opponent.

I always thought that this would be a perfect use for taunts, at the moment the only use they have is to boost your specials bar etc. How about if you could signal your partner to climb to the top rope etc?

I tend to take simple ideas and make them far too complicated ...

Good idea, like have the ability to point to something to signal ur partner.

EDIT: like how bubba signals for devon to get the table. You could walk up to your teamate and press taunt, then BAM he talks to his partner and has an animation telling him to do something!

Anyone remember Royal Rumble for Dreamcast? Bad game in a lot of ways, but it did allow you to assign actions to your tag partner that you could call on by pressing whatever button combination you chose.

    Hey again,

When I mentioned DX`s finisher I meant the "sweet chin music stun kick into the pedigree". Also I thought of another cool tag team finishing move from the Smoking Guns "the sidewinder": backbreaker into legdrop off the top ropes:. Anyone remember that one? Please also add that tag finisher to my prevous tag finisher request list.

Thanks to Dave and to the rest of the team.
