I saw dave list of weak, medium, and strong front grapples.
What about weak, medium, and strong back grapples as well? Turnbuckle front and back grapples? What about turnbuckle weak and strong? I'm guessing ground weak and strong?
I heard there is a surprise one comming around, just tell me the nonn-surprise ones I guess. Ive been following for a few years and never saw this anywhere.

In the newsletter, it said "weak back grapples.....", trailing off, which I assumed to mean the same three levels of grappling for the back of the opponent.
I have to admit that kicks ass. It'll make everyone feel special, especially if they all have mostly different moves. Id like to see weak and strong gorund moves as well. Weak ground moves could be harder to reverse, and have less consiquences for being reversed too. I for one think reversing a big move should be epic, like reversing someone special should reverse into a powerful/crazy move.
boy that sounds so complex, i mean with so many position, how will you switch between them like in no mercy?
just a thought, i loved the idea of legends of wrestling, where you had a button for fast grapples, so you don't have to grapple then choose what move to perform.
I'm hoping that int ruled out entirely. I don't think its been done right yet but the idea has a lot of potential when combined with collar and elbow tie ups.
For grapple positions so far (positions, not states like weak, medium, etc.) we have front, back, and side like in Giant Gram 2000. But don't get too excited. We only have one attack animated from the side grapple so far and we may not get a chance to add any new ones for Uprising. Because of that we aren't likely to make a big deal out of having side grapples just yet.
The way it works is this:
1. From a front grapple, tap R to switch to side grapple. Tap R again to go to back grapple. Tap R again to return to side grapple, and so on. 2. From a front grapple, hold R to switch directly to a back grapple, and so on.
Ever thought of going to a side headlock (or hammerlock or armbar) position from front grapple for chain wrestling moves? Could be really complicated to code and not conducive to a competitive video game, but it might make for a more realistic sequence of moves/reversals. I'm just thinking of how you get from one move to the next in an actual match: for instance: a typical start to a match: lockup to armbar to hammerlock to headlock to headlock takedown move to head-ground-grapple-move. Add reversal opportunities in there, and I can see months of programming for a single branching scenario.
There may be a thousand reasons not to do it, but I'd love to see it in a game someday.

Sounds very cool, and only whets my appetite more.
Well, the concept is cool and something I've wanted to do since seeing it in GG2000. We just need more animations and content for it to mean anything special.
Content comes with time. Even if you have only 3 or 4 animations per side, it's worth including and to build off of in the future.
Look at Firepro, there has been only *1* Triple Team back and front attack for YEARS, but the move situations have been there. KOC had all the different types of grapples you could choose, but not all the grapple types had the same number of moves to choose from.
I'm glad you feel that way! Depth will be very much lacking in Uprising in favor of getting as many move situations as possible working with at least one move available. Hopefully we last as long as the Fire Pro franchise to pump that content in there.
