    1) Death March
    **************

A Death March in the game industry (are we really in the 'industry?!') refers to a period
where a game studio is slaving away around the clock to meet an important deadline. We're
technically experience a so-called Death March this week because we were informed a few days
ago that we'd have an important visitor who needed to see the playable. All that matters
    is our latest build.

    Fun!

So we've stopped production on any new content and and have been working like dogs
getting as many things working well as possible with the content we have. And when
I say 'working' I mean really working. You'd think we'd all be stressed out and miserable
but we're actually not. We're stressed out and happy about it! Why? Well, this has been
easily the single most productive few days since we opened the studio. Hell, it's been the
most productive 24 hrs since we opened the studio.

Our main goal was to show our visitor as many things as possible that can be pointed out
with the phrase, "you can't do that in a WWE game." So far so good. We have some
neat grapple stuff to show just and yesterday we got a fancy move working that required
a tricky reversal break in the animation. It flows seamlessly. It's going be a cross
between the KoC clutch system and the Ultimate Control Moves in Smackdown vs. Raw 2007.
That is, as long as we can continue to generate more animations to make the option
    worth while.

It's an important week for us next week. Wish us luck!

    2) Fine, go then!
    ******************

It's an exciting but kinda crappy day today because it's the last day for one of our studio crew
members. He's leaving the industry and Vancouver to help run the family business with his fiancé
who is about to become his wife in a few days. We're all very happy for him but his absence will
surely be felt. He has arguably generated more content for the project than anyone else right
back from the prototype days all the way to today. He definitely will go down in the PWX crew
Hall of Fame so next week we'll pay tribute to him properly. This afternoon we intend to
get him far too drunk to leave!

    3) New Forum is Live!
    **********************

The new official forum is up at the www.ProWrestlingX.com site as some of you have already noticed.
Eric has done something a little different with it in the interests of keeping spam out
and keeping it pretty. First, all sign ups are manually approved by either Eric or I before
you can post. It's a bit annoying, I know, but I think we all want to keep those awful
spam posts off the site and manual authorization is the best way to accomplish that. Second,
you can add an icon to all of your posts but massive banner and text signatures are disabled.
This way the forums load super fast.

It's working very well so far but we still consider it a Beta stage forum so if you have
any suggestions at all on how we can improve the forum experience (navigation, layout, etc.)
please don't hesitate to let us know.

I try to spend the first part of my day on the forum answering all of the posts that I can.
    See you there!

    4) Link of the Week
    ********************

Recently someone emailed me and reminded me of an article online that explained exactly
how publisher can (and often do) screw developers. Very interesting and reminds how
amazing it is that we've managed to get this much funding while retaining 100% ownership
of our project. All but impossible these days:

    3) Question of the Week
    ************************

They just announced a price drop for the 360. If you don't already have one will this
price drop now make you think of picking on up? I'm curious as PWX is being developed
with an eye towards a 360 port. I'm wondering how many more people will own one after
    the price drop.

Please email your answers to Dave@WrestlingGamersUnited.com and thanks for the support!

In the meantime and in-between time, that's it. Another edition of
    Wrestling Gamers United.

    Thank you for your support,
    Dave Wishnowski

PS. Since a long time I'm back posting this but this time in the new forum

    Re: Question of the week.

I already own a 360 I bought used about 6 months ago...but the price drop would indeed have me thinking about getting one.

Another price drop or two and I'll start thinking about the PS3.

And I am really keeping my fingers crossed on a 360 port. You might have to lose some of the customization that the PC version will have (by way of Mods, such as skins, etc), but if the gameplay is there...it's all good.

    Unquote.

Sounds interesting. I think everyone is looking forward to seeing the gameplay for ourselves. It'll certainly answer some questions about how the game feels.
