This was posted at the NMZ and I thought it needed to be posted here too.

It says "completely updated roster" what does that mean that the graphics will be the same?

I almost wish I had a Wii now, not really though.

Might make me actually purchase a Wii. I'll wait and see until a lot more comes out about it though.

RoadWarriorAce, thanks for posting that article, IMO it actually makes this sound more legit. Because of the WWF logo being all over No Mercy and because of the outdated roster it makes more sense that No Mercy would have to be retooled and released as a WiiWare game and not as a Virtual Console title. I don't imagine it would be a lot of work either, just some new character designs, logo swaps, maybe a few new moves to be animated. I think WiiWare is launching in Japan in March....not sure about North America though.....either way this could at least be an interesting way to kill some time. Kinda makes me glad that my wife convinced (a.k.a. told) me to buy a Wii instead of an X-box 360.

This is great, no doubt... The thing that bugs me is that a re-release on the Wii would either be by THQ themselves or Yukes. Well, ok that depends on the THQ/Syn Sophia (AKI) relationship at this point as they could rally AKI back. Hey money talks and from what I remember reading, good majority of the former VPW/No Mercy team now works for Yukes.

    It's not really 2006.
