hogan goes for body slams, can't do it goes for it again, breaks his spine goes for it again, finally pulls it off
the difference here is that unlike SD!vsRAW, the fail would be based on a %, not a flat "you can't lift him". This would help make the game feel more realistic, as the "burst of strength" always tells a good tale.
[cite] dratsab:[/cite]Not weight detection, more like being too tired to lift.
I think involving that, momentum (/possibly 'heart'?) and also strength would be the best combination.
A certain wrestler may get drained as the match goes on, yes, and not have it in them to pull of a move. However, you get the certain breed of wrestlers with a deeper reserve, who have that 'heart' component. A wrestler with momentum could have the adrenaline pumping, and pull it off. Obviously, though, strength must be incorporated. Because let's face it, no matter how many Wheat-Bix he had that morning, or how much the crowd loves him, Brian Kendrick just won't be press-slamming the Great Khali.
Ahhhh you see we knew we couldn't get a proper weight detection system working in time for Uprising to be released so you know what we did? We made sure all of the roster in Uprising fell within the same general weight class! We are soooooooo lame!
Seriously though, no Super Heavyweights yet so no need for weight detection just yet. To be honest (What? The hype machine not working today, Dave?) I'm not totally happy with regular grapple initiation yet so we've got some other things to solve before we can move on.

Yeah, but what about CAW? What if people wanna make Vader, Khali, Rey Mysterio, etc.
The body type is already made for both men AND women (previous ScreenShot Saturdays had pictures) but they haven't yet gotten the weight thing progged in yet.
I'm guessing that if it doesn't work, they'll just do it like WM2k or the old SmackDOWN! games, where even Big Show or Viscera could be Military-Pressed (which was HILARIOUS to watch back then) by the likes of Scotty 2 Hotty.

Agreed. If there's no other way around it yet, it only makes sense. It won't be much of a burden to have athletic and medium sized grapplers dominate the game, because those are that 'norm' demographic in wrestling, anyway.

Indie wrestling maybe, but if anyone (and lets face facts, its a lot of people) wants to knock up a WWE or even TNA roster you're miles off track. Different body sizes are pretty much a must given PWX's brief.

There are more Edge-sized wrestlers in the WWE than there are Great Khali-sized. Sure, they're there, but the majority are your Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Christian, Chris Benoit, Edge, CM Punk, John Cena, Triple H, Finlay-sized wrestlers. I know there's a bit of variety in that group, but it's not like any of those are 7 foot, 500 pounders.
Yeah but John cena ain't no "Edge sized" or Batista hell even Finlay are bigger than edge but if we think in general then you're absolutely right most wrestlers in the WWE are pretty much the same build the diference is the height
