So we have this character that will be in Uprising and he needs serious help. He's just a bald guy in tights and I really want to add something to his overall design that makes him unique. What can we do? Time is limited so it has to be something fairly simple (hair style, accessory, etc.)
So can you guys help us out? What can we add to this character to make him look special and cool and not just a random jobber?
His name is G-Rush and his style is standard. http://www.wrestlinggamersunited.com/dave/grush_upperbody.jpg
Slap red elbow pads and black wrist tape on. Give him medium length black dreadlocks. Then give him black boxing shorts with dark red arrows going up on the sides. Make sure you put black knee pads and black boots.

I pretty much agree with this considering the time restraint.
just give him a goatee or some sort of facial hair. also give him white\light blue eyes. btw i think i don't see any nipples on him, is that a gimmik too?

Give him some crazy sunglasses for his entrance and Ultimate-Warrior like boots and wrist-bands, make some Disco-Stu-70s-like dance steps as taunts and you have Disco Machine Clone Nr. ... well, not even I now everything about Disco Machine.

If we do that he [Warrior] will come knocking at PWX offices b*tching and whining. "Mine! Mine! It's all Mine!!! NO TOUCHY!!"

Thanks for your input!
G-Rush is kinda eh for a name. He should wear a suit. Men in black style. And have shades. And long Sideburns and short black hair. Have him wrestle in the suit. Call him The Great D. He will be The Greatest Man Alive.

Guys...I freakin LOVE the idea of giving the guy and Ultimate Warrior makeover. We wanted to avoid anything racially stereotypical and I think some Warrior-esque facepaint and tassles is about as UN-stereotypical as you can get.
Thanks!!!! Dave
Keep the ideas coming though. It will be a few days before we me move forward with him.
i think you'll have a problem with lucas art over the name. it sounds to much like gibrush threepwood. also if you make him a pirate it'll be a total rip off from 2 sources, WWE and monkey island series.
G Rush sounds like a gangbanger. Why not make him some street cat hustling and all of that.Mix John Cena and JTG and Shad into this guy... Some long baggy shorts, turned cap, slick accessories on his neck,fingers,hands... Expand...
G Rush makes me think more of a rave DJ then a "street thug". Have him come in the ring with a some portable DJ system or perhaps a DJ crew doing his theme live. Perhaps the common accessories DJ's might wear (if any).
Hmm... give him sort of a military look. Kind of a short, flattop haircut, dog tags, maybe some shoot fighting gloves on top of other improvements suggested.
When I look at him and think of the name G-Rush, for some reason I think gravity, and I think blood rushing to the head. I know it's not a look thing, but I picture a kind of intense looking Steiner Screw Driver type finisher for him. Delayed vertical suplex, letting the blood rushing to the head before dropping the guy down.
Having a sick looking finisher can really spice up a character.
Not really I think a finisher should be on the last place I think the way the characters acts with other moves(reversals, top rope etc.) are key of forming a match cuz most of the times people don't even get to the finisher
Hey do this: Put on a tank top (black) A mohawk A beard A pair of army pants A gold chain across the neck And you have a Mr.T oh yeah buff him up a little more

Did I say anything even REMOTELY similar to "A finisher is the absolute most important thing about a character's moveset, and the build up to it doesn't matter in the slightest"? No, I didn't.
All the moves building up to it aren't going to look as devastating as a properly done finisher. When a wrestler is well thought out, just a look at him persoming his trademark, match ending maneuver can speak volumes.
Steve Austin wouldn't have been anywhere near as menacing if his finish was the stepover toehold, you realize.
When you boil it down to one single move, a finisher is the one that defines a wrestler.
[cite] MYNAMEISED:[/cite]Hmmm, Navy blue tights, Just replace the red
http://www.prowrestlingboots.com/tights2.jpg
Or keep the red if you wish.
White knee pads and boots.
White wristbands and black fingertape.
That's my suggestions for ya's
I really like these tights for this guy. I'd say combine the warrior and the junk yard dog idea. maybe give him the tassles around his boots and face paint on just one side of his face and maybe have the chains all wrapped around him as an entrance thing
I'm thinking the gangster/rapper gimmick will be too obvious, so I'll try my own suggestions.
White tape around each arm, at the bicep. (Similar to those black bands worn.) White trunks, with red outline stripe around the legs and torso ends. White knee-height boots, with red laces. Goatee. Keep him bald. Tattoo a nice design all the way around his neck, possibly something like barbed-wire. Red wristbands, and red tape around the finger joints.
Just a reminder to the crew and those who are worried about racial stereotypes. Professional wrestling is all about stereotypes. Russians are usually evil foreigners. Asian wrestlers in America usually use a martial arts type move set. A lot of African American wrestlers have rapper/thug gimmicks. I could go on and on. You are cutting out a lot of really good wrestling over the years if you eliminate stereotypes.
Yeah but the last thing you want to do when releasing a game is give Jack Johnson something to sue over. That is opening up a can of worms that shall never be closed.

I don't think it's very probable that someone would sue because a black wrestler has the letter "G" in his name, honestly.
I don't think racial stereotypes are a legal problem... but I think they get repetitive and boring. It's not very creative when you think about it, that's why I tried to offer a suggestion that wasn't a racial stereotype.
Nice fed logo you have there MG! Sorry, couldn't get the vids to load though.
We've decided to go the face paint route pay tribute to Warrior! Pro wrestling is supposed to be fun, right? So let's have some fun with this guy!
I like the tights you did, Tonzophunn! Please help us out here though, is it really racist to name him G-Rush?! We had no idea. His original name was Grant Rush and we just shortened it to G-Rush innocently.

As I said before, I really don't think it's offensive.

Did you go to the bottom of the website and click on the board, then click on the PPVs
Thanks for the input guys! We've got an 'inspired' new face paint design to debut for the screenshot update on the website this weekend. Let us know what you think!
