Hey I'm new here but been looking at your progress since four days before Wrestlemaina 23. My favorite season mode on a wrestling game has to be Smackdown 2 and Addituted. Smackdown 2 season mode is the best because it just like in real shows with the promos and stuff. I think in PWX should do a season mode like Madden's superstar mode and Smackdown 2's season mode and mix it. Will PWX be like how No Mercy is treated on Youtube with the texturing and things or not because it would be crazy f you let it go by. Will there be any commentary from ringside or not because that is not really needed. What inavadive match types will there be on PWX because I have a couple of ideas like a Rooftop match. It's a cage with no walls but only a roof then to have attaced ladders to climb up. Then it can be as wide as the Elavation X match. Another one is a pyrimid match , luckly a youtuber made a endorphin video about it

maybe a create a arena mode simmalar to tony hawk's pro skater games or a create a move mode lik create a trick mode on tony hawk's pro skater games
Endorphin video is pretty cool, but your wishes are pretty common. It's probably best to keep ideas simple and easy to program, as I don't think Dave wants to radically alter the engine just for a few people's ideas to make it in if you understand what I'm saying.
Yeah well what about the season mode anyway?As I'm sure all of you know X-box's WWE Raw 2 has the most complex Season mode but no voiice overs or subtitles =}? If there's no voiceover in the seasonmode will there be at least some subs?
I think saying WWE Raw 2 had a complex season mode is bogus, all the cutscenes were canned and played over for different guys with no personality WHAT SO EVER! Basically it was [insert generic scenario] with [insert any wrestlers here]. WWE Raw 2 I thought had the worst Season Mode ever, it just pretended it was deep.
Dratsab have you ever played the Madden 07 version of superstar mode? the season mode should be like that. When I say season mode I ment a gimickless season like in regluar sport games like Madden 07.
Sorry, I don't buy sports games, and I rarely play them unless I'm at a friend's and he has nothing better. I do like the old NFL blitz games and NBA street however.
MG I don't know man a sports game season mode on a wrestling game I'm not sure that would work for every fan out there although a gimickless season mode sounds reallystic
Season modes in wrestling games are tough. I think the best way to go would be to set up a bunch of small seperate and sometimes connected events and have them happen randomly. The more events created the more potential it has. This would probably ruin the flow however but this way it would give the game more replay-ability. If you played the season a 2nd time you could see some events that didn't occur the first go around.
Yeah I agree I mean in WWE games u have one event like the Rumble come up and then u're sure that wrestlemania will fallow with a main event.And now that PWX is a non-promotional game there's more "freedom" for the order of the Events
We experienced the exact same dilemmas when trying to design the UTLIMATE SEASON MODE ARGGGGG!!!! which is why we decided to split things into a separate career(touring) mode and more linear story mode. We have absolutely no plans for a management or booking mode though. Hardly a need for it when so many good wrestling management sims are out there.
I agree with Dave no need for the booking elements (TEW anyone) but a touring mode would be great and a seperate "RAGS to RICHES" storyline would be good, but what would be the reasons behind playing both of em?
In the linear stroyline I think it would be a great if PWX mimiced or paraded some of the bigger events in global wrestling. IE A celeb used in a tag match (MR T. style), Montreal screwjob style macth where you charatcer gets screwed outa the belt or job. And any other that better wrestling historians can think of.
Will a training mode be included in the game to improve your stats. Personally my opinion on these "mini-style" games can be repetative. if ony 3 are included. But if at least 3 different training games are included for each stats then it might be pretty cool? I dunno just throwing ideas out there
