I'm very happy to announce that we have officially opened up pre orders for PWX: Uprising! We have a temporary pre order page set up for the next few days until we get a permanent one up on our new host. There is info on the page and a FAQ that should answer most of your questions.
Sorry though, we were kind of blindsided once again by the generosity of some people and we haven't decided yet what to give those people offering $100 or more towards supporting the project. Thanks though! We're working on something for you!
Thanks again everyone for your support as we take PWX in this brave new direction. We couldn't have done it without all of you and we owe you BIG time!
click here to pre order: http://www.wrestlinggamersunited.com/dave/UprisingPaypal.htm
Everyone who pre orders in the next 24 hours will have their name entered in a draw for a free WGU t-shirt!
Thanks again,
Dave Wishnowski

Just preorded+donated.... $20 total. Exchange rates in the UK are awesome ATM, cost me £10, bargin! If I was just to preorder the game with no donation its closer to £5, a ridiculous price! There's no reason why anyone fromt the UK shouldnt be able to give a fiver to help PWX along, but also get a game(well half game!) aswell!
im new,so heres what i typed in new posters thread
"hi guys,im 25 and from england,i first heard about this project bout 2-3 years ago and i remember thinking it will be dead in the water in 6 months and never see lightof day but damn u guys have really done well and i have the utmost respect for you.
if we can get anywhere near no mercy quality it sets the wrestling video game world back in the right direction and i wanna be a part of that
cheers"
anywhoo pwxdave,i hope you dont mind but i am gonna wait for the free limited download first just to see how it functions on my PC and to see if i enjoy it enough to wanna play it longer than initial 10 mins..if it is good and i enjoy it will be inputting my paypal details soon after!
balooga: Here is what the FAQ says about your question.
Minimum system specs will be announced before release day as we continue to optimize the game. If for some reason you have placed a pre order and it turns out your computer does not meet minimum specs we will be happy to refund you the pre order price.
Hey Dave, though you didn't answer my question in the newsletter thread, I'll ask it again lol. I don't have a credit card or paypal account, don't plan on getting one, and using my parent's CC is not an option. I can use my debit =P but I prefer to use cash. Is there anyway you can pre-order and donate for the demo with cash? I'm sure there are other members on this forum that have the same problem as me.

How about being nearly £2100 overdrawn due to university and only having a shit job?
PayPal won't let me pay with my US money. The exchange rate makes $10.99 Canadian $11.52 US. I can't change it to pay 11.52, so it won't let me pay at all.
I think Im going to wait untill its out before I purchase my copy for a few reasons. For a start Im not sure if it'll work on my PC, and secondly I'd rather gauge what others think of it first.
That said Dave I will be payingover $20 when I do buy it. (Im not bothered about having my name in the credits)
Im in the UK and $11 dollars is only about £5.40, and rather than pay £5.40, I might aswell pay £10 (which is $20.30)
*oops just realised its canadian dollars, but Im guessing its about the same.
You guys are all nuts! Sirdingus, wow, I can't believe the generosity of people like you who have given so much. Thank you! Hell, I still find it hard to believe people are even willing to throw $10.99 our way never mind over $100!! I'm floored. Seems I always underestimate the kind of support we have out there. And yes, that $100 definitely gets you the game too!
Samclung65, I think Paypal might have just been slow when you tried. Seemed to work fine for me when I checked it a few minutes ago. Wanna try again?
Blueguy, yes, we will have a mail order form set up by the weekend. Thank you!
@showusnomercyagain, yes there will still be a free version.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!! The crew and I are, needless to say, humbled by your support.
Sure, we'll throw you in the draw for the shirt. Thanks again!
Sales are....confusing. We're getting a respectable amount of orders and thats AMAZING seeing as how there will be a free version people can try anyway. So the fact that any of you are supporting us with paid pre orders is incredible, thank you! What's odd is the amount of people who have opted to donate over $100 and in some cases over $200. Umm not to sound to dramatic or anything but isn't that kind of unprecedented in the video game industry? Are we onto something bigger than we think? Quite a few people are giving us a LOT of money and I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Head's kinda spinning...
Yeah that is a pretty good angle. That was a big influence for me to donate. Plus the mystery of the over 100 thing got me too lol. Glad to hear this venture is working out so far
It still won't let me pay. I get an orange button that says "Pay $10.99 Now". I hit it and get this message beside a big "!": "The exchange rate for this transaction has recently changed. Please review the details of this payment below before continuing." The only option it gives me is to pay $10.99. I can't change it to (at the moment) $11.50.
Just put in my pre-order Dave. Between that and my full boxed version order, I am going to need to play the thing before I get my donation pen out : ) Good luck guys.
Sure, it is a bit unprecedented, but so is this entire project! :) You're catering to a market that has been ignored for years now, and what big companies like THQ seem to forget when chasing the next blockbuster licensing deal, is that this market has many adult players who have careers and spending cash. I'm sure I'm not the only person who counts Smackdown vs Raw (or insert your preferred game here) as their most important video game. I buy SvR for 50-60 dollars per year, in hopes of getting the product I want. It's basically a subscription!
What you promise to deliver is everything I as a consumer in this neglected demographic wants. If I had a choice between the eventual goal of PWX, or 10 other top rated video games ($500 value) I would take PWX every single time, so throwing some money in to support it on top of the sale price doesn't seem like a huge burden to me and I suspect to the folks who have been sending you those generous figures.
My partner and I are preparing for an expensive month including a trip cross-country, car rentals, and other such nonsense. Because of that I can't donate as much as I would like. Will there be opportunities to give more further down the road? Maybe you could set up some sort of paypal subscription thing where people can send in some amount per month until the game is published :)
We have been wanting the next No mercy for a long time. We just want a fun wrestling game with an inexhaustable CAW with near unlimited slots. At least thats what I want. I am willing to pay as much as possible for it. Dave we support you because you listen to what we as wrestling fans(you included)want. THQ and the like put in what they think we want.

It's statements like that that make my tired old heart melt. A few other people asked if we could set up a subscription plan as well and I think we might do it. Thanks for offering!!
[cite] samcclung65:[/cite]That's the problem, I was doing "add to cart" not "make a donation". Now I get a "page not found" message. I'll try again later.
I just talked to customer service at Paypal and they say they are experiencing technical difficulties with their donation system at the moment. Keep trying, they say it should be fixed shortly. Sorry!
[cite] Jetlag:[/cite]Is it possible to pre-order without PayPal, just by assignment?
We will be setting up a mail order form this weekend so people can send in payment through the mail as well. Is that what you meant?
Just donated my $100. I'm sick of these run-of-the-mill grapplers the THQ Smackdown machine has been cranking out every year. I also don't have faith in Midway to make great gameplay for the TNA game. I long for the Firepro and AKI days. Best of luck, guys!
yeh,im really excited at the moment...last night i got out my old nintendo magazines to read the reviews for wcw vs nwo:world tour, revenge, wrestlemania and no mercy!
i really wanna game thats gonna have same sorta gameplay, and pwx looks like it could deliver
thats the best thing bout the project, its pretty much what id make if i wa sin charge, which says alot for the "made by the fans for the fans" moniker.
yeh,im not expecting mircales with this demo, but hey if i can have a enjoyble match then it will bode well for the future,id also like to add my 2 cents after playing it to help i will purchase it as long as my pc can play the game well..i cant see why not,it can play quake 4
Yay, donations work again. I wanted to preorder within time for that shirt comp but couldn't because paypal broke! (I wanted to donate too, not just pre-order you see) But yeah, looking forward to seeing this thing happen!
Just pre-ordered it. Hooray!:)) It's a shame though that I have only pre-ordered it. I actually wanted to contribute something for the project I care so much about... But 25 bucks is pretty much everything I have on my card right now. And I do know what this game means to me... The last time I've been so interested in a PC title was when Resident Evil 4 finally came out. And it's been one of those few times I was actually interested in buying a PC game. So shame on me now... But I'll donate when I'll be able to, I promise=)
Just donated $21 US. Actually, it WAS $20 but I realized that it wasn't $20 in Canadian dollars, so I kicked in another dollar. Damn the US dollar is sucking now.
[cite] Entertainer13:[/cite]Does this run on a mac at all? I doubt it and don't blame you if it doesn't.
The engine we built the game on does run on Mac but we haven't tested our executable on Mac yet. I wouldn't expect it to run well without a lot of work but you never know!
I placed my pre-order for the full version of PWX: Uprising the same day it was open. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing & give me feedback. I'm happy that we are finally getting something to fiddle around with. Thank You Very Much Dave.
