    The PWX E-Fed...

Good way to pull some extra funds out of this too, and give it some real replayability.

I, as a user, would be able to pay a fee to set up an online promotion. I log on, set up a show, which can either be open (anybody online can join the show) or closed (only preset people who are members of my promotion or people I am permitting for tryout matches can get in). There's a locker room... basically an area where the players who aren't doing anything atm wait for their turn. There they request matches, request run-ins, request promos, etc..

I, as the promoter, run the show from the promoters interface. The show starts, I choose the participants for the first match. Those guys are automatically kicked into the match. I watch the match and see alerts (Wrestler B has requested to interfere with this match)... I can allow it, deny it, or let it sit until I decide to allow it later in the contest.

Between matches I can grant users promo time (either I take control of the interviewer, or just let them go at the mic backstage or in the ring). I can allow backstage attacks requested by characters, I give title shots, adjust rankings, all that.

As a promoter, I'd probably have a set time when I'd show up every week and set up my promotion, but some might just do isolated shows that aren't connected to any on-running promotion... like an open tournament in other sports games. I can create belts and set the belt stips. I can even take my promoter character out into the ring and give my own promos, Vinnie Mac style.

Anyways, just a thought, I think it would be a hell of a lot of fun.

I think its interesting (definately room for improvement) but I like the idea. I sugest that there be the option for people who are not taking part in the show to watch, sorta like a live audience (paussibly cheer/boo/chant ect.) could make for some great e-feds with crowd affect on turns, card possitions ect.

I'd also add one other factor.

The possibility of simming a match, as opposed to making the owners of the wrestlers fight each other.

So, some e-feds could be, you bring your wreslter and fight another person, while other e-feds could be, you create your guy, program him, set his abilities all within the frameworks of the rules of the fed, and then we watch your creation take on someone elses creation.

I only want that there IS an online mode. Nothing needs to be perfect. There can be expansion packs, forgot it?

Just watching him when you can actually control him is kinda useless IMO.I'd love to wrestle the other guys with my man...

Come on, dratsab... I'm all for "to each his own" as anyone, but really watching feature should really only be there for spectator/security purposes. Who really wants to watch when they could be playing? I could see if it's a tournament and while waiting your turn, you watch your competition in action, but otherwise... why?

I mean one thing I was thinking of while watching Major League Gaming on G4 the other day was, what if there was a wrestling game that actually required skill to the point that there could actually be tournaments for money. I mean why do FPS games get all the glory?

Imagine you had a wrestling game where you could actually work a match, come up with strategy, scout your opponents in spectator mode, and formulate how to beat them... I know most people would just do it for kicks but what if just like on MLG in Halo 3, there was $100,000 on the line?

But before that, we have to get to having a game that good.

    PWX could be that game...

Watching edits perform to your specifications can be as fun as actually controlling the guy.

The reason for that would be to see how well you can program a guys brain to compete...as opposed to who has the fastest fingers, best understanding of the mechanics and knows the most exploits. So while it is fun to play against someone...the lamers out there have a tendency to ruin it, and make me afraid to even attempt to play someone on-line.

I find it interesting that nobody's debating the original suggestion of paying a fee for this (I mean, I'm all for supporting the team financially, but does anybody really want to PAY to set up what basically amounts to an e-fed?).

I'd be in for a pay to play model if it offers what I want out of the game. Until I see what the final product is, I can't just say I would jump into an e-fed that I had to pay to be in. So, it's hard to debate that portion of it until more information is known.

I have no interest in e-feds let alone paying for one.

Honestly...I've been watching PWX develop for a long time and I don't think I'd ever pay for something like this.

I would never pay for an e-fed, no matter how good it is. Why, because I can make one even better. And I have the experience and knowledge with e-feds.

Well that's true why should anyone pay for it if he can make one himself

I E-fed with a friend of mine a lot. Having some kind of functionality to help support this would be cool, but I'd prefer a system that is not rigid with it's structure. Perhaps instead allowing freedom with setting up matches, but providing some in-interface tools like a match card planner, etc. Support for recording matches would be great, but as long as FRAPS is possible then recording can be handled outside the game.

We used to do this in Smackdown when we lived together by writing up match cards on a white board and playing them in exhibition mode. The problem with Create a PPV mode was it restricted us far too much. The only real benefit to using it was being able to plan specific interferences that weren't part of a stable, but in that case it eliminated our ability to surprise each other unless we made a card without the other person watching.

I also do not want to pay for any e-fed stuff. I want the ability to set up and run my own without any sort of extra special effort. Having online support where 2 or more people can be on each system should be a huge priority when/if online support is included. The biggest complaint we have about SvR's online function is that every playstation can support only one player. That means I can't have a 3 way match between myself, my best friend in Michigan (same person I mentioned above) and my partner who I live with. Very frustrating.

Honestly all I require in online is the ability to host, play and record matches without severe lag.

Hell, if you wanna include some kind of machinima function thats really great, but the basic three are up top.
