Hello.I am desperate and I need your tips and hints on something. Somwhere around next week I am going to get a hold of some serious cash and I will finally buy myself a PS2 console (pretty late, but still...) My question is - can you tell me each and every wrestling game that has been released on the PS2?Any game - I don't care if it's japanese or anything - any game in which you can grapple your opponent.I believe I'm getting a modded console,so regions don't matter much.Anything from the WWE to TNA.I will get a hold of them sooner or later. Could you please cough up?I just don't know where else to turn to...
Alright besides the obvious WWe games here's some others the two Def Jam games Galactic Wrestling King of Colloseum Fire Pro Wrestling Z of course there r other games but these are some of the worst ones:D Oh yeah and RUMBLE ROSSES Backyard Wrestling (1&2)

I never hated Goldberg BUT even if I did he is great to have on the roster of a videogame because his limited psychology isn't a factor (esp in a WWE game). He has some cool moves and a good look which is all that matters in WWE games. Althought Ric Flair and Bret Hart are amazing wrestlers they a both a bit dull in videogames because there is no chain wrestling so they are just very basic characters.

I don't know, I mean there are bad wrestlers that I can enjoy being on a roster (I can enjoy John Cena) and then there are wrestlers who I have so much apathy towards I don't even want them as an option (Goldberg... maybe the Miz now, he's starting to make me hate him).
I personally think John Cena is the opposite to Goldberg. In real life I actually feel he is a very good wrestler with a piss poor selection of moves. His psychology has proven to be either good OR he is able to be lead to great matches (his ones Vs HBK I am willing to believe were entirely lead by HBK, but Umaga? Did Umaga lead him to great matches? I'm not sure). Goldberg on the other hand was a wrestler who had more or less everything but the psychology. I don't think he is anywhere near the worst wrestler, and he has an awesome move list. Wrestlers that do annoy me are ones like Snitsky - Big and muscular with no wrestling ability and a move list of about 3 moves (punch, big boot, pump handle slam). Dull to watch and dull to play as. Jus' my opinion, mind.
Which matches stood out for you in 2003 for John Cena? I have not always liked John Cena that much but I've never been a Cena hater. I believe that his run with the belt has maybe made a lot of people tired of him but I still like him. I also think the best thing for Cena has been the fact that the crowd ARE so split over him. It means his matches always have a big match atmosphere like other sports where the crowd are rooting for their favourite. I still think the man has worked very hard and deserves a pat on the back whereas people like Carlito and Shelton Benjamin, who are FAR more talented in terms of the impressive moves they can pull off and stuff, are (apparently) lazy. It's a shame because they are both great. But Cena has been working his ass off.
(I hate Cena's stupid generic promos that usually come down to "I might lose but I tried my hardest and my opponent is gay...not that there is anything wrong with that!" - if there is nothing wrong with it don't use it as an insult. He wouldn't say "You're black....not that there's anything wrong with that!" would he!!??)

His promos were amazing in 2003, they pretty much caused his greatness in 2003. He did wrestle better back then too, he had good matches with Angle and Benoit, and had a good match with Lesnar at Backlash. I think his matches against Undertaker were decent too, but it's been a long time, and they really squashed him which back then pissed me off... kind of ironic how things have changed.
I thought his matches in 2003 were quite basic and the rapping gimmick was great, but for a mid carder. i understand why it's been dropped. i'm not a big fan of his Rock-esque promos but i know that raps dont fit well into an empassioned feud very well. he should still pop one out every once in a while i think. Like I say, his main event run has got better and better in my opinion and if he just did some moves that looked remotely good he'd be awesome.
- Smackdown: Just Bring It! - Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth! - Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain - Smackdown Vs Raw - Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 - Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 - Rumble Roses - Def Jam: Vendetta - Def Jam: Fight for New York (debatable, more a Fighting Game, IMO) - Galactic Wrestling - Legends of Wrestling - Legends of Wrestling 2 - Showdown: Legends of Wrestling - Backyard Wrestling - Backyard Wrestling 2
- King of Colosseum: Red - King of Colosseum: Green - King of Colosseum II (my favorite game...EVER!) - Fire Pro Wrestling Z - Fire Pro Wrestling Returns - All Star Pro Wrestling - All Star Pro Wrestling II - All Star Pro Wrestling III - Wrestle Kingdom - Wrestle Kingdom 2 - Wrestle Angels Survivor (I have it but haven't gotten around to trying it) - Online Pro Wrestling: The Champion of the Network (looks very similar to the Smackdown games)
Again, if I'm forgetting anything, please correct me. Also, I didn't bother to add the Exciting Pro Wrestling games, as they're basically just Japanese ports of the Smackdown games.
With the exception of the original All Star Pro Wrestling and Online Pro Wrestling, I own all the other Japanese import titles.

It's interesting you've said that the gameplay stinks because Rumble Roses actually uses the YUKE'S engine, same as SmackDown.
IN FACT, Rumble Roses actually used the engine BETTER than SmackDown did.
But yeah, when the Rumble Roses chicks are actually hotter than the REAL LIFE chicks in the SmackDown games, there seems to be a big problem...
Yeah and it stinks Rumble Rosses should've used Smackdown's engine but YUKE"S desided to screw it up. Look I kinda don't like the gameplay maybe it's just me dunno .
THQ LICENSED THE ENGINE FROM YUKE'S FOR SMACKDOWN, SMART ONE. NOT VICE VERSA. Just like Konami did for Rumble ROSES (ONE "s" in the middle, man!), only Konami did a better job of representing wrestling through the engine than THQ did.
How about 'World Fighting' - granted it is an MMA buget title but one character is an American Wrestler and one is a Japanese wrestler so you could have a wrestling match with it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut3mR53u2BM video of the game.
i have an obsession with budget games, If I were japanese I'd own every single Simple Series game! (Including the two wrestling ones - i love that Smackdown 1 and 2 were japanese budget releases before they became wwe games - except the japanese ones had deathmatches).
OOk... Let me share with you my first moments with the console. The first game I tried was...FIFA 2007 (the only game I had) You know FIFA...It was nice... The second game was actually WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2006.And I don't know, but I liked it.The first times Triple H smacked down my John Cena, then i sneakingly switched the difficutly from normal to easy and then...John Cena ruled tha scene once again... Then I tried SvR 2007 - tough controls, but I still kinda liked it... I was wondering - what is wrong with these games according to you?Maybe the controls were kinda tricky at first, but I liked the game... I will look into the other games, but I don't think I will find them here...
