Basically if PWX is what it's going to be, with great gameplay that will get even greater as expansions go on, coupled with touring mode, ability to distinguish multiple feds, in-depth CAW mode, create-an-arena, create-a-belt, the whole shibang. Everything you need to feel like Vince McMahon (not the current state of the WWE though). Simply, a great way to run one's own promtion. But anywho, I'm sure the majority of the wrestling fans, especially the PWX fans, have always created their own unique CAW's portraying typical or unusual gimmicks and ran it as a pseudo-fed.
Well, I've already have 30 original superstars that I've accumulated over the past decade of wrestling video gaming, a handful of WWE stars and Samoa Joe completes the roster. They're going to be my side of the fed. What I want to do is do something similar to what the WWE is doing right now, 3 seperate brands. Except these 3 seperate brands are their brand in it's own right. No A Shows, B Shows or Sideshows. Simply, my goal is to do a weekly online show about wrestling using PWX, and I was wondering if anyone is willing to combine their original superstars list with mine to form the 3 brands? Run some internal brand and inter-brand matches and storylines, and basically try to make it as realistic and fun as possible.
Fed style: Trying to treat the wrestling as a sport like they do in Japan, yet add in a bit of drama and flair like they do here in North America.
What's needed? Basically dedication and a passion for wrestling, some internet web-page skills, video editing skills as well. And if anyone's flamboyant or charismatic enough, pbp and color commentary for the matches.
Optimistic point: - To have a website dedicated to the online wrestling promotion, complete with a forum for discussion about the online wrestling promotion, and other topics as well, mostly related to wrestling, gaming, or a combination of both. - To run weekly or bi-weekly shows featuring matches and whatnot, maybe organize a PPV caliber event rather than just running shows constantly. - Serve as a CAW site as well.
Know what would be cool? If all the PWX core fans got together and organized their own fed. Like we would have our own shows online where we face off against each other, and had champs that had to defend their belts on certain days. That would be awesome opossum.
Actually that gives me a good idea... how about an option to have observers in a match where 2 (or more) people put their caws (CPU-controlled) into battle? That'd be cool, to have like say 10 people watch a 6 CAW (all caws from diff people) money in the bank. Or how about a CAW royal Rumble!
that'sa good idea... valdik - I ACCEPT you challenge... :P right after the game ships,we try each other - 1 on 1! Can you handle me? :P Actually what we both need to do is make a tag team and bag tag team titles :P
I wouldn't mind, but I would want the matches to be scripted like in real wrestling. I think it would be much more fun for two people to try and put of the best match they can than two people fighting to win a match. It would be alot more intresting to watch as well.
You didn't actually consider us having a game to play and still scrip matches? The whole idea is for us to play the game right after it ships,dude...What did you think?We wait for the game to ship and script matches? :D
Good idea. I have crap loads of CAWs I plan to make on PWX. I love to see them in a fed together. I think scripting should be only used when needed. We don't want people complaining about jobbing on a video game!

My worry there is that the numerous people matching one match will cause lag.

You know I think that idea would be a hell of a lot of fun. I'm a coach mode player in madden (you call the plays snap the ball then its all cpu controlled) So in a wrestling vain it would be cool if you had 30 or so people each make a CAW and let the CPU duke it out (easy enough to capture the video if you didnt want the slowdown concerns if any.)
It would also allow you via forums to be the personality of your CAW so after a tag teams, stables, and rivalries will start feeding themselves naturally. My suggestion would probably be say you had 32 people you start wil a 32 person "main title" tournament and as CAW's lose they can form tag teams or stay as individuals and take runs at the other titles. by the time that completes, you should in theory have a couple decent rivalries going.
PWX's first super-show's main event has already been booked (over a year in advance): a 4-Corners, Tag-Anyone-In, First-Fall-Wins Grudge Match between a CAW by me, a CAW by Raven Ankh, a CAW by Spunk, and a CAW by DarkOffspring.
The feud was started on the old boards when Spunk decided to call me out on my constant VPW2 and championship belt marking out. We saw fit to include allies/enemies (depending on the day of the week) RA and DO into the feud (DO remains neutral in this matter, and RA occasionally switches allegiance between me and S-Road), and Dave, Mel, and many other board members (including Monitor, who can confirm this) bore witness to the birth of the first PWX-Online SuperShow MAIN EVENT MATCH booking! Gotta love the premature e-book-ulation!

I see PWX will make a great virtual fed game :) I LOVE IT!!! All Dave needs to do is to add recording options to the game,so we can easily record our matches (in WMA format of course :P)

Man that would be so kewl seeing as the game is server side and client side so in the server list you could have each Brand..
Now if my PC that I currently got will run this game at full frame rate I will indeed do this I really can't wait till the public demo is released I bet we are going to be blown away by it..!!!
