Hats off to our lead programmer after delivering two new updates to the crew since last newsletter. The engine upgrade continues to go well as we resist the temptation to just port over the old code and throw it out to the public as-is. We’ve actually stripped everything out except for the core gameplay so we can focus on improvements to what matter most…the core gameplay! Without anyone being tempted to ask for improvements to crowd textures or menu art the crew has been giving feedback just about the basic mechanics and really polishing things up just as we promised.
The results so far are even better than I expected with the engine upgrade. Even on the highest settings now I’m getting a solid 60fps where I used to be lucky to hit 30.
And in a bit of a funny accident the new animation engine suddenly started to support some basic facial animation we had done! I couldn’t believe my eyes after I executed a brainbuster and all of a sudden the guy starts breathing heavily! Don’t expect a lot of fancy new facial animation until we can expand the animation crew but for now it will be a nice little unexpected addition to the presentation.
Why stop at Revenge, eh?!?

Question of the Week
Fire Pro Wrestling World is finally coming to PS4 this summer. I don’t even own a PS4 and I’m buying it just to support the developers. You?
In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
