The pro wrestling game made for the fans

Wrestling Gamers United Newsletter #804

KoC 3

Think Fire Pro Wrestling World was the best wrestling game surprise of 2017? Well, hold on to your clutch timing because I heard through the grapevine that a certain European developer has been pursuing the rights to bring a King of Colosseum port to Steam later this year.

Now, unless they’ve been working at this since early 2016 I don’t see how the timeline is feasible but that’s not the exciting part about this rumor anyway. I know a guy who knows a girl who knows a guy and instead of a straight up port (for a variety of reasons) their side of the story is that the project in question is actually an entirely new game using an unlicensed fantasy roster.

A “spiritual successor” to KoC 2 made for a western audience. Stranger things have happened….

New Grimhold

What happens when our lead artist, Mr. Wrestling 5, notices that someone created Grimhold in Fire Pro Wrestling World and gave him a killer alternate attire? Mr. Wrestling 5 goes and recreates that same Grimhold alternate attire for the next PWX update. Question then…is Mr. Wrestling 5 a great wrestling game artist or is he the GREATEST wrestling game artist?!

In Da Book

Still hard to believe that PWX will be in the middle of an upcoming book about game development alongside the likes of Doom, Mortal Kombat, Wrestlemania The Arcade Game, etc:

In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
