The pro wrestling game made for the fans

More PWX on Steam

I know that I’ve been kind of a dick with the last few PWX updates. We show all of the new stuff on Twitch, get everyone all excited, and say you all have to wait while we test for bugs which could take a long time before the updates you see on Twitch finally make their way to Steam.

My heart is in the right place in that I want to make sure the updates are in reasonably good shape before releasing them to the public. It doesn’t do anyone any favors to have your only available version of PWX be horribly broken. But then, the guys on the crew pointed out that we don’t have to have just one version of PWX available on Steam. We can allow you guys to opt in to trying out the most bleeding edge, non-tested, updates almost as soon as the crew themselves get them from our lead programmer. We can still make the most stable version the default update.

But for all of you who want to get your hands on the very latest PWX awesomeness? Keep an eye on our Steam page. More builds (and maybe even platforms?) are coming…

New Wrestling Games

PWX crew member, Eric, was looking for things to throw money at and gamble on the other day and came across a few wrestling projects that slipped past our radar. They are in various stages of development but you can learn more about them at the following links. Looks like they’re both trying to do something fairly far from the mainstream path which I think is awesome!

Huffpost Coverage

Remember that video game book that Patrick Hickey Jr. interviewed me for a while back? Well, not only is the book getting ready for release it is also getting some fantastic press coverage. Check out the interview Patrick just did with Huffington Post.

I can’t wait to read the chapter about Pro Wrestling X (obviously!) but I’m also looking forward to the other behind-the-scenes chapters on some of my favorites like Doom, Road Rash, and Mortal Kombat!>

In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
