Wrestling Gamers United Newsletter #719

Merry Christmas!

Happy holidays, everyone! I’m not sure if I’ll be near a computer to write next week’s newsletter (due Christmas day actually) so I want to take this time to thank all of you for your kind and patient support and an especially HUGE thank you to the current Pro Wrestling X crew, which I sincerely hope remains the core crew for years to come.

As the crew begins its holiday travel so spend time with family I won’t expect much in the way of updates or Twitch broadcasts for the next few weeks. But I think it’s safe to say that after we rest up it’s going to be a pretty spectacular new year for Pro Wrestling X and everyone involved. THANK YOU!

Wait

We are under certain contractual obligations that prevent me from talking about certain things that may or may not happen on the Steam store this holiday season. But I think it’s ok to say this, if you were planning to buy Pro Wrestling X today…you don’t need to rush. It will be ok if you want to wait a few days. I guarantee the price will not go up by then. Promise 😉

Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling

This…with the cameos…is amazing.

Yo! Yo! Yo!

What is it with WWE raiding Canadian broadcasting for their on air personalities? Not too long ago it was Renee Young (Paquette) and Kyle Edwards (real name Arda Ocal…way cooler!) and now they went and made arguably the smartest announcer hire since JR himself, Mauro Ranallo.

I remember him calling the local indie shows in and around Vancouver with our good friend, Scotty Mac, before he went on to announce for various MMA around the world including some monster huge shows for GLORY. Mauro knows and LOVES his wrestling. Expect some quality work from him and you won’t be let down. Congrats, Mauro!! Assuming we don’t see a name change to Jeb or Dodge…

Wrestling Arcade

Eric pointed this out to me. 16 bit recreation of classic wrestling moments. They already have that sick Kalisto ladder spot up!

In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of Wrestling Gamers United.
