As promised in this week’s newsletter, there’s been work done on the various body types of Pro Wrestling X.
The normal mapping process that adds detail and quality to the low-poly character models is about 70% complete. While not yet finished, you can already tell what a nice difference it will make, especially to the face. we’ve also got another pic of the studio, which makes this web designer glad he’s safe in Michigan :)
For this week, we’ve got screens taken during the production of the different body types, showing how Darrell sets up reference pics to model from.
This week, the focus was on more concept art and pre-production, while the 3D crew worked out the pipeline from from 3D software to the game engine.
Yeah, we know they aren’t really all screen shots, but that’s OK. For this week, we’ve got Dane scale shots, and more behind-the-scenes at PWX.
